Hobocans
Hey everyone,We have been a bit absent on the boards since the HoboHookah launch almost 2 years ago. The current Hobo has done well, but its time for us to consider our next iteration...We have been scoping the boards as well as have received a lot of feedback from Hobo users, and we feel comfortable at this moment that we are going to come out with a product that incorporates all of that feedback.Of course things like a purge valve and stem length are going to be incorporated. A tray...well not yet, but you know that may happen once we get a tray we feel is appropriate for the best, beat it up, travel hookah. So, as we finalize the design: Hobo users - What would you change? or what do you want us to keep the same? And for those who think they could see themselves smoking a Hobo some day, what would you want changed, added or subtracted for you to join the clan?Cheers everyone. Its been a fun ride, and now its time to really make something different...

I have faith in you guys.
inino
geygoose bottles with every order, for us poor people who can only drink popov. no but really I think the tray would be great and the purge valve.
Zinite
Only one thing stopped me from buying one: How ghetto it looks with the foil wind cover you guys use on them. Incorporate something like the Leila's built in windcover/screen and I'll buy three of them.

Canon
dont do it like the leila. the heat management on the leila is the hardest.
n0s
Why not optional components that go on easily? Like how the QT trays come on/off so easily, and wind covers that fit snug to the top.
Hobocans
Thank you all. We are building a brand right now and what we have in store is more than just a pipe. We are going to add choice. And, for the record, I would never bring a Leila to a party. Not to the University of Wisconsin and not to Cornell where we will be in the flesh next weekend. gruver
Being as it is marketed at parties and the like, a multi hose option would be nice. Also a tray, and possibly adapters to use your own hoses.
MrMoodz
I think a purge valve and tray are most important. A nice addition would be a hose port so that different kinds of hoses could be used rather than just the screw on kind. I have a few hose ports that I tried with it but it didn't seal right. Looking forward to seeing what the next hobo hookah will be.
K1024
you would never take a leila to a party, because *suprise* its not a party hookah. its a device made for smoking more safely in your car, or solo smokes.i would never take the hobo hookah to a party because most people tend to like their floors. a real hookah has a good sized base so it doesnt fall over, have you ever met a drunk person? yeah the hobo hookah is a cool idea, ill give you that. but jeeesus the pics on your site with the people just holding it over their laps....i wonder how many buns have been caused by that. EternalSoil
A tray that can be secured. and a windcover similar to normal windcovers that can be secured as well. not like the leila, something that like goes over turns and secures.changeable downstems.and, all of this optional. Almost like a customize your hobohookah.basic would be almost exactly what you hvae now. but if someone decided, hey, i want a shorter/longer downstem. or i want a tray... whatever. the option to add it later.also, cost was a big factor in me not purchasing one. I think that full, windcover, hose, tray, bowl, and maybe 2 size downstems should be no more than $70. cause if you compare it to a full sized 40" hookah at only $10 more, you kinda get your ass handed to you. Yeah, you may not be able to carry it around with you at a party or something, but it doesnt look lame at home or in a chill environment with friends. I didn't mean make it look like the Leila. I meant make a windcover that can be secured so you don't have to use foil.
slyfarmerjon
A purge valve and the ability to use different hoses is a big thing for me too. I love the concept and all, but I love my grand caravan and nammor's too much. I'm not too huge on having an ash tray if I can get a windcover without it. I like the idea someone else had about removable / diffrent sized downstems too. Making it removable makes it much more portable and smaller down stems for patrone bottles and the like. Also, cost is another thing. I dig that the hobohookah is really well built, but for what is me essentially buying a hookah that only uses one kind of hose, has no base, no purge valve, and no windcover....$60 is pretty steep. That said, I'm deffinitely going to be looking out for the 2.0 version. I have been thinking about buying one for a while.
Nikon1323
i love my hobo hookah and instead of giving out windcovers you should give out combo bowls with the windcovers attached because thats what i use and it works great as long as you do foil then the screen..... other than that and the hose thing its great

I'd hate to bitch about how much the hobo costs, but $60 is just way too steep. I know you may be targetting another niche, but with the econo qt costing $35, the hobo is kind of a hard sell. mustang_steve
add a removable (but securely affixed when in place) coal tray, and a purge valve, and I'd consider. If the hose isn't a washable variety, make it so and it's even better.I do think the option to add a multi-hose adaptor would be the icing on the cake...for a party hookah, that's a must. This can all be done using threaded hardware...just use a fine pitch thread for seal purposes and all is well....the problem with most hookahs that have threaded adaptors is they use this really coarse thread pitch, that while easy to make leads to leaks...which leads to using teflon threadsealing tape, which leads to inconvenience....who wants to teflon tape something when half-drunk?
