Twang
I was just thinking (here we go again ).... What about using a small "lazy susan" or some other form of ball thrust bearing set up (turn table). Perhaps mount one of those "base protectors" to it (although I don't like the way those look). Or rig up some other way to hold it in place temporarily. Works on the floor or table. Anyways, just a thought. Maybe someone will find it usefull. yashman19
I made one a couple years back from Home Depot. Wen't to home depot, bought a 2' long circular piece of wood, and just bought a lazy suzane kit. They have different size kits for different size tabletops, but I just spent like 6 bucks on one. Just gotta put for screws in it to connect it to the table. I posted about it a while back, and you can probably see it pictured in most of my pictures I post on here. Sonthert
Isn't the centrifugal force too high? I mean on the outer edges, the angular velocity must be awful! Is it centripetal force or centrifugal...I can never remembe which one is which.
Twang
I think it might be. Thats why I was thinking one would have to mount it somehow, to keep it from falling over. And I believe it is centrifugal.
gunsboy
I have been thinking of making one for a while ... I tend to tip the hookah whn I move it or pass the hose sometimes (so clumsy). http://www.hookahforum.com/forum/forum_pos...sts.asp?TID=735 I will try it soon. Lukasa
And I believe it is centrifugal.
Actually, centripetal force pulls a revolving object towards the axis of rotation, centrifugal force is actually a made up force. "Centrifugal force" is actually the equal and opposite natural reaction to centripetal force. If you are just slowly rotating your hookah in order to pass it to friends, centripetal force wouldnt be an issue.

Karbon
here's an idea. Dont fling it around as hard as you can. lol. and put a wider rotating base on it. dont make the piont of rotation directly in the center. If you are planning on building it, then you should know how to do that.
