mavsfan31
So I think I'm gonna go with the MYA Bambino and not the QT? Is there much of a difference really here?I'm thinking about upgrading the hose and bowl right off the bat. I don't need a huge bowl, a medium sized one should be plenty. What recommendations do you guys have as far as these go?

Sherwood
What shop are you buying the Mya from? Their selection will influence what you can get, unless you're willing to pay shipping twice.
Matt-641
The only difference really from what I've heard is the vase is smaller on the bambino, otherwise they are pretty much the same.bowl- phunnel bowl would be a good choice, or look at vortex bowl (both are comparable from what I've heard).hose- do you want a washable hose? B/c the only true washable hoses are Nammor, Razan, and the Grand Hose. Otherwise the Mya hose that comes with both Bambino and QT would be pretty good. Imsomint
I kinda don't recommend using a Nammor with the bambino unless you plan on having the majority of the hose laying on a table. The Nammor is a little to stiff for the bambino and I also had to cut a little off the end of my Nammor so it would fit in the hose port (limited grommets) on the Bambino. However, the Bambino hits fine with the stock MYA hose it comes with.
ilikemyusername
the QT is more stable. otherwise they're both great, and the bowl that comes with either of them is going to be good enough, and so is the hose.
BBKakes
I prefer the Bambino just on looks, I really like the base.As for the hose upgrade... I ran into trying to get one of my razans to fit into the bambino and its pretty much a no go. It looks like I'll have to get another Mya hose...As for the bowl....The stock Mya bowl is crap. Adding a phunnel is a good choice. Edited April 28, 2009 by BBKakes

Matter of opinion, certainly not true.2. Agreed. Over the past couple years I've come to respect the mya bowls, especially for finer cut shisha like AF/Fantasia they smoke every bit as well as other bowls of that typeThat said, phunnels are probably the best bowls out there. Only problem with them is that they're not cheap, and they last a long, long time. Sometimes you just want to keep changing flavors every 45 minutes. Adding a phunnel is a good choice. While I think the QT is ugly as sin, it's still one of my favorites. It can fit both razan/nammors, very stable for a small hookah, and the cage it comes with is extremely bad ass. I also put a bigger MYA tray on it. (can't use the cage with it but its easily changed depending on what I'm doing)

SilverK
I just bought the Bambino. It's my second hookah. The first one I bought, now that I've smoked the Bambino, was a useless piece of lung-burning, headache-causing, ugly piece of crap with a narrow stem and crappy stem tip. So you're making a great choice with the Bambino. The bowl it came with was tiny. But it would be useful to have for solo sessions or for a quick smoke. Sometimes that's just what you want! A quick bowl of shisha that isn't a waste. So keep the bowl it comes with. The hose on the Bambino appears (to me) to be a quality hose. It's quite long and it is washable (according to my research). The tray is adequate, I haven't had any tumbling coals and there is enough room to keep the coals off your bowl gasket. I would like to get a bigger tray just for safety precaution. Haven't bought one yet because I'm not going to get it online and pay shipping just for a tray. So I'll wait. But you can be satisfied with the tray it comes with. The base on the Bambino, and the cloisonne stem decoration, beat the QT hands down. The QT is ugly in my opinion, and the Bambino is prettier. It IS quite heavy though, so you have to have a hand big enough to carry it by the base and NOT the stem. The vase size is one issue that isn't commonly mentioned, so if you're a chick with tiny hands then be prepared to carry it with both hands. Or you'll drop it and be quite sad!You won't be disappointed if you buy it as is. And you can pick up a bowl easily from any shop that sells shisha. They're around $5.00 and you can pick from a variety of sizes and colors. Of course it won't hurt to order a bigger bowl online if that's where you're buying it. I don't have a phunnel so I can't comment, but I CAN say that with the mod bowls there is serious drippage of color and flavor down the stem. I can see it when I clean the hookah. So I will be getting a phunnel for sure. If I were you I would order one with your Bambino. You will be happy with it (once you figure out how to pack it right).I like the fact it comes with a solid hard carrying case, at no extra charge, if you buy it from the right vendor. Some online vendors don't include a carrying case. I made sure I got one because it fits the hookah perfectly.Enjoy you're quality hookah, you will be happy with a Bambino! Toxik916
I just picked up an AF healthy hose from MNH and for the price you cant beat it. The draw is great and its 100 % washable.
gaia.plateau
Upgrading the Bambino would be like giving a makeover to Jessica Alba, or God. If it's already perfect, you can only make it worse!
mavsfan31
I'm buying from Hookah John.I figured I'd take care of whatever upgrades I need to now, just to save money on the shipping later. The local headshops around here are more expensive than online (obviously).I think my order will be as follows:MYA BambinoMedium Phunnel Bowl3 boxes of CH QL's (once again, I'm saving money here....)Shisha (kind of undecided here, I think I'm going to try one Starbuzz flavor I like and one AF flavor I like and just go from there.)Thanks for all of the help guys, I really appreciate it. There's no such thing as a washable Mya hose, that I've seen. They claim they're washable, but they aren't...unless you got something I haven't seen before...
