skiracerj1
Ok so bare with me, this is my first time reviewing. I'm not gonna go into great detail, more just describe what each flavor made me feel First up Al Amir Double Apple:I must say of all the double apples I've had (granted somewhat limited) this one i love best! When You open the jar its kind of an odd, yet comforting smell, alot like fresh playdough, alot like childhood memories Personally I think the cut of Al Amir is among the best, i like that fine and ultra wet feel it has. I terms of smoking, its pretty much delicous, tastes the way a double apple should, I've never tasted any anise but one of friends swears he can, but he hates anise, so its prolly psycho sematic (sp). Compared to nakhla, al waha, and layalina double apple its miles above them. Never really tried any other premium brands' double apple though, but with this stuff I've never had a need. The smoke is unbelievably thick; A buddy and me were hot boxing this car with it and by the end we could read the gauges. We'd blow the smoke at the dome light and it was like an eclipse, total darkness for a second. All in a very good flavor definately a favorite, maybe not a perfect 10 but somewhere in the 9 range I'd say. The only draw back is the complete lack of buzz, but its not all that bad. Its kinda like I'd rather eat a hersey bar than lettuce, even though the lettuce will prolly make me feel better in the end.Al Amir Honey Dew Melon:Right away you know your in for a treat when you sniff this. It smells like freshly picked honey dew, or as close as tobacco should come. Again the cut is wonderful and free from logs. In terms of flavor its probably my all time favorite, its nice and juicy and definately has the sweet fruit like tinge to it, but its not over bearing. I let some friends smoke it and they were skeptical at first but were raving about it by the end. Along those lines on surprising thing is that is goes great with a nice brew, just kick back and enjoy. The smoke is once again marvelous, nothing like those nakhla wisps you get. All I can say is give it a try, this is definately a 10.I just put an order in for some fumari tropical fruit, blackberry, passion fruit, exotic mango and some havana bahraini apple. I'll review those as I smoke them. Thanks for bearing with the newbie-Randy
HookahEnthusiast
Nice reviews...definitly present the overall smoke without having to go into great detail......ill be reading the fumari ones when you get around to them!
Converge
Awesome, welcome. I love double apple also, nothing like the black licorice taste. Strangely enough though, I like nakhla's the most. To each their own though But what the hell are you thinking hot boxing with a hookah? Carbon monoxide kills ^ Don't be that guy.
Sonthert
Nothing like Nahkla Double Apple! I have said it before, and I'll say it again, without fear of hyperbole, without Nahkla Double Apple, the world of hookahs would be dead and buried again in 1999. skiracerj1
Ok so the Fumari is here after three excrutiating days of waiting. I've only so smoke the tropical punch and the blackberry so far.Tropical punch: I was using some three kings quick lights and I think they might have affected the flavor, just seemed a bit off, and not real strong even though the smoke was real thick, like immense, but still what taste there was was delicious! The smell of the tobacco itself was unbelievable, overpowering doesn't even begin to describe this stuff, and the cut is simply marvelous! Despite what others have said I actually got a decent buzz too, not head spinning, but enough to make the legs go rubbery. I think I'll give this stuff another try when my jap coals arrive before I give a conclusive rating. But still pretty good I have to say, just not as superb as others have said.Blackberry: Speaking of superb, wow, just wow! The smell could be wafted from 30 feet away outside on a breezy day. The cut again was very nice, nice and juicy. The smoke was thicker than anything Ive ever smoked and it kept going for an hour and a half on only 1 and half quick lites. The flavor tickled the palette like none Ive ever had before, everyone who was smoking with me was in love (there nakhla-philes). I have to say of all the hookah I've smoked, this had to be the best. As far as buzz, it was light, but still there, not as much as the tropical punch though. If any of are about to put in a fumari order thus stuff is a must! This just earned a permanent place in my stash, seriously not ordering this with a fumari order is like having sex without a condom, it might seem like a good idea at the time, but down the road you'll regret it, dont be a fool, wrap your tool, and get this stuff!I'll review the other two probably tomorrow! Sonthert
Just imagine if I still worked for them. That could be some seriously dangerous stuff! If Fumari sells it, it is probably the best available, take it from me.
