New Hookah Debate

Recommended Posts

im getting a new hookah and am planning on spending anywhere between 180 to 200 on a hookah and the MNH jet glass bowl-- leaving about anywhere between 100-120 on the actual hookah.

here are my main choices

http://www.thehookah.com/khalil-mamoon-dou...ck-38-inch.html

http://mnhookahs.com/product_info.php?cPat...products_id=214

http://www.thehookah.com/khalil-mamoon-exotica-cs-38.html

i would be getting a black bowl with the black hookah and a red with the red etc. i was also debating whether i should get a mya paragon-- but I've heard a few bad reviews and don't want to take any chances.

i am also thinking of ordering within the next day- so any suggestions would be much appreciated.
thanks,
Kyle Dayton

considering that they would all smoke the same, it all comes down to cosmetics. i dont think it would be fair for us to influence which one you think looks best because it should be totally YOUR decision.

for example, would you ask us "which one of these three girls should i date?". it should be your decision and your decision only.

I have an SSR which is just like the Exotica (check my gallery)..The only problem I have is the paint peels off of the Vase. Other than that it smokes like a beast.

I think all of those pipes should smoke about the same.. Its just a decision on which one LOOKS nicer to you..

Here is a pic of the peeling I was talking about

If all you are looking at is KMs, you should consider all of them equal in quality. It is your decision what you think looks the best. I would say get whatever is cheapest and most convenient for you. If you are going to be taking the hookah places with you make sure you get a bag, or a shorter hookah. Or you should decide which website you can get the best extras from, or get the best discount codes...

i would go for the tangiers phunnel. they are built tough. i know a couple people that broke their mnh phunnel just from heat changes (coal off then coal on) and it shattered.

oh wow! im surprised! when i first saw the jet bowls-- thats what i thought would happen- then i saw a few posts of people giving good reviews- so i assumed that they were made out of thicker or sturdier glass. thats a real bummer: those things arent cheap!

By the way, what kind of hookah do you have? i saw your pics (not the al fakher)- and it seemed very sturdy

They are all KMs, so they will all smoke about the same. I have a 40in Exotica, and I've smoked out of a 36in KM Ice and a Tri Metal. They all smoke great, but I would say the shorter ones have a slightly better pull (makes sense because you are pulling the smoke through less pipe), but they all smoke fine. Pick which one looks the best to you.

About the pipes - that's up to you. I have to agree with most that regardless of the KM model, it'll smoke well, and about the same as any other KM pipe.

I'd go for a a Tangiers phunnel, unless your're that hooked to the looks of the jet bowls. I have both, though I have about a dozen Tangiers bowls. The center hole in the glass phunnels is too low, IMO, and they're more costly, so breaking one vs. breaking a ceramic bowl...?
