Low-juice Tangiers Saving? Glycerin?

Recommended Posts

(thought I posted this yesterday, can't find it).

I have ~500g left of three OG Tangiers flavors: Static Starlight, Tasty Peach (the most left) and Orange Soda.

I bought some expensive (+$5 over other brands) tupperware specifically for Tangiers, and they absorbed LOTS of the juices with Tangiers.

Compared to some old crappy tupperware I had lying around, these older ones have pools of juice in em still.

Since I have a ton of OG Tangiers in these newer tubs, and they are juice-light, I can tell the flavor isn't as prevelant nor can I smoke it for more then 1.5 hours without the flavor going to burnt crap.

Can Tangiers be salved with Glycerin or Honey?

you can increase the juiciness but not the flavor. try getting pyrex over tuppeware for your tangiers needs, ive had the best luck with that (i got the cheapest pyrex from wal mart and it worked fine)

Look for polypropylene containers like Eric said.  They have a 5 in the recycle sign and "PP" underneath.  They work great. And cheap.

Lock n Lock

You paid $5 more than a normal container? I hope they had gold lining.

Lock N Locks (at least here) are $2.97, won't absorb, won't stain, is air and water tight.

I've left Tangiers in them for months at a time then I clean them out, where a normal container would stain at least a little bit the lock n lock looks brand new every single time.

Thats why I advocate polypropylene containers (or tupperware if your stinkin' rich). What is the material those tubs are made of? Whats the recycling insignia say?

How do you know if your containers are polypropylene? I read all the packaging os some new ones and there is nothing on them..

THe recycling emblem has a #5 in the middle and says PP underneath?

Bingo.

I get Stop & Shop brand... they are awesome, cheap and fit a 250 with plenty of room to stir.

Correct.

As far as "other" goes, I've seen numbers that go up to 24, you don't know what other is...in fact, some "other" plastics are not recommended for use, as they use hazardous polymerizing agents.
