Sherwood
Machete and a hammer. That's a step up from a steak knife and the bottom of a scotch glass.
shesha1
I use jap coals on Tangiers, but I want to try the coco split.
mattarios2
the coco split actually works well with tang. I take a sharp knife, score the middle of the coal, and sit the knife right over the score and smack the knife with the hammer and it cracks perfectly in half with one hit, every time. inino
I just slop 2 full coals on a small phunnel and rotate every 5 minutes. works well for me, and doesnt taste burnt.
kivwa
I do the same thing mattarios does, score it with a steak knife, dont need a hammer tho anything heavy will do, like a can of dog food for example, yea but it breaks clean in half evry time. the split works well with nakhla for me, have yet to try tangiers. hookah hippie
I use about 2-3 cocos on a small phunnel of tangiers no problems at all. Hmm... maybe because my hookahs are on the taller side.
Barnaby
you guys use a hammer? cheap steak knife, saw thru it, smack it with my hand, clean break everytime.. the sawing does leave some dust behind, but its pretty minimal
