What Do You Do With Stems?

I was wondering what you guys do with the stems you find in your shisha
do you smoke em?
pull em out?
don't care one way or the other?
I've been pulling them out, but i'm not what you'd call an expert
and i wanted your opinions/thoughts

+1 ...but I do take out quite a few of them and they're easy to notice since i pretty much drop my shisha in bits into my bowls.

If they're 'too big' just chop em up and smoke them anyhow... stems don't hurt a thing, and they really can help airflow. I'll never understand why people take stems out, it's just plain wasteful.

I heard somewhere that stems make the smoke harsher... but I can't remember where and I'm not sure if it's true. Anything under half a toothpick size I normally smoke, the bigger ones just get in the way so I throw them out.

Yep, tobacco stores more nicotine in the woody stems. So if they won't easily fit into te bowl I cut them up and leave them in.

I was just about to say that, haven't ever really found any noticeable ones. On the other hand the few starbuzz tins I've had though have all had tons of 2"+ stems.

i don't bother with stems when i put my shisha in its container. i throw out stems as i pack my bowls. when i pack and i see a stem that isn't sitting quite right, i just toss it.

I usually pick out the bigger ones. If I'm using a phunnel and find a big one, I place it over the center hole, and that keeps the foil off of it and gives great airflow

I've found quite a few smaller stems in my batches

I pack them
1. I paid for them...thats weight done the garbage chute
2. They pack a killer buzz...gotta love stem bowls
