Tangiers Shisha/

Recommended Posts

a.) unwashed shisha made in america.
b.) it has a higher nicotine content, as it is unwashed. it tastes better, smokes better, and is reasonably priced. It has a moderately steep learning curve, though.
c.) in my experience (which is not very much), yes.
d.) YES.
e.) Lucid is the washed version, with less nicotine. I think of it as a "diet" tangiers.
f.) To acclimate tobacco is to expose it to air to compensate for the changes in humidity/climate and let it adjust. Without acclimation, Tangiers will not smoke well.
g.) hookah-shisha.com...any other hookah vendor really.

There are dozens of guides to how to 'handle' it on the forums, just look around. I'm fairly inexperienced with it, but I know the general idea...other people here will be able to help you more.

f.) To acclimate tobacco is to expose it to air to compensate for the changes in humidity/climate and let it adjust. Without acclimation, Tangiers may not smoke well. This is due to the much lower water content, the tobacco forms an equilibrium with the moisture in the air. If the tobacco and the air have different moisture contents, it will take a little time for the tobacco to "catch up". This has one added feature, it gives the tobacco an unusually long shelf life.

That should answer all your questions.

What do you mean thats almost exactly what Gorilla said? Really? Crap. Then well done, Gorilla! Thank you.

How quickly a serious question devolves to idiocy. Is this a new record? wink.gif

Just don't take me seriously there. A certain amount of hilarity is always good to balance the serious.

Excellent answers from both Sonthert and Gorilla.

My advice: smoke it, introduce others to it, smoke it more.
