Sonthert
For all of those of you who have purchased Tangiers Tobacco, I come across a relatively common problem that I would like to offer a solution for, that is NOT covered on the current product "Instructions" sheet.Problem:Thin, harsh smoke although the product was allowed to acclimate to the airSolution: Make sure bowl is full to the top, do not leave a gap between the tobacco and the foil. Add more tobacco if the tobacco is touching the foil already, but superior results are still not being acheived. Thanks to CaspianHookah, ZAP and Greg from UCI! Thanks for your support of Tangiers.Eric

zzzzzT
I always pack quite a bit of Tangiers in my bowl and the smoke comes out smooth and dense. A trick I like is to lightly line the bottom of the bowl with aluminum foil about 1/2 up or a little more. This collects the juices so they don't run down the stem and helps keep them in the tobacco. The air just gets sucked behind the foil. It does not change the amount of smoke for me. It just seems to keep the flavor and smoke running smoother. Can you take a picture of this setup?? so what do you do just line the bottom, poke some holes in the foil to let the air thru to the stem and then pack shisha on top and then cover top with foil? zzzzzT
Hey Lukasa I don't use any holes in the foil. I don't add any holes because I dont want the juices to escape down the stem. The air flows behind the foil just fine for me. So far it has worked good. Just loosely line the bowl with the foil. Then you can put the foil on the tobacco like normal. When I line the bowl I dont go all the way up the bowl. I just loosely line about 1/2 or 3/4 of the bowl. Try it.
Lukasa
Does it make a big difference? If so, i'll experiment.
sheeshabum
You seem to be following in the footsteps of Thomas Paine and Thomas Jefferson ,both stating that we should be in a constant state of Revolution. "Foil at the bottom", its a revolution (not all are good to begin with), I'm going to try your novel idea.
JByer323
This idea is interesting, since there are times when smoking Tangier's I can actually watch the juices drip into the water. I'll have to give it a shot.
Sonthert
Yeah, watching the dripping juices is really disturbing when its a red dyed tobacco...it looks like blood.
