Not Getting Decent Smoke...

Hey guys, first time poster here.

I have a fairly cheap Habibi(think about 15-17") and I'm struggling to get thick smoke out of it.

It has a fairly small bowl, but pull is good. The smoke just doesn't form. I've packed the Sisha loose, tight(even as tight as Tangiers) and only occasionaly I get nice clouds.

I've tried 1 Soex coal in the middle of the foil, nothing. I've tried 2 half Soex coals around the bowl and still nothing. I've even tried ice water.

What am I doing wrong?

well first off, i think most Nakhla flavors in general are really dry,
so you might want to add some vegetable glycerin to spice it up

and have you tried different coals?

You need more coals with Nakh. I can get 3 on a well packed phunnel bowl and not get it harsh.

well, afzal sucks but it will smoke...
nakhla is mmy shisha of choice, i'd say have you packed it all the way to the top o the bowl? maybe even a bit highter?
alot of people are afraid of the shisha touching the foil...i'm not.
also, slap on another coal. and get some better coals!

I second everything that has been said. Also it might be your hookah. I have and MZ that despite it's craftsmanship no matter what I do I only get okay smoke.

I would check your water level also. Make sure it's about 1/2 inch submerged on a hookah that size.

I ended up making a foil phunnel and putting 2 Soex coals on it. HUGE clouds from my Nahkla Banana, Caramel and Cinnamon mix.
