Nammor/razan Hoses Verse Km Hoses

Recommended Posts

Is there much difference between Nammor and Razan hoses against KM hoses. I was wondering if i should invest in a Nammor/Razan. I currently own a rainbow KM hose and was wondering, if the 20 dollar difference is worth it.

I love my nammor, i believe that the KMs are all traditional leather meaning that you cannot wash them. The Nammor and Razan you can wash. IMO the nammor is the way to go. Both have had quality issues but I havent heard of any in a while. If you have to go with a KM hose there is a thread around on how to make it washable. Let me see if I can dig it up.

I have a KM Rainbow and several Nammors.

Between the 2 the pull is almost Identical. The KM is shorter. KM isn't washable. That's about the extent of the differences.

Nammors hold about as good as a sweater made of jelly. I've had nammors and razors (none for more than a year, this with rare and careful cleaning), all are thrown out. KMs tend to vary a little quality-vise, but I stick to them now (the Ultimate version, that is). Draw is about the same, but I generally find the KM-quality to be a tad better. Can't say I've ever found a hose I'm 100% satisfied with. Edited by Balthazar

I am still baffled by the people having problems with nammor/razans. I have 9 Large nammors/razans (one of every color) and honestly i have had to reglue the grommet for the mouth piece on 3 of them. That's it.

3 out 9 is good? 1/3 of your hoses needed work lol. I had problems with 3 of mine (out of 4). Two of which fell apart eventually (no i didn't beat people with the hoses, i am a gentle and loving guy) and i glued together.

just be glad you had decent glued together ones.

so what if they come apart here and there, they're totally fix-able, and washable.

yeah, i definitely want to spend 20+ dollars on a hose that will fall apart and i have to fix it.

The hookah community is a joke to me. Excuses for everything. If you are spending the money and the quality is not there, why would you still spend the money?

Some hookahs are crap quality, instead of not buying junk and making the producer change their ways or vendors carry better goods, people continue to support garbage quality goods.

I don't want to buy a hookah that has problems that I need to fix (grommets not fitting, leaks, etc). I don't care if its handmade, if its defective it shouldn't be sold. A disclaimer saying this product is hand made does not give free reign to sell inferior goods and then charge a fee upon returning the defective goods.

Same with the hoses. If it falls apart, that means something is wrong. You're paying for a defective product and instead of getting your moneys worth, you pay to fix it...

really? just because a grommet comes loose it's like the hose is a piece of shit?

Mine came loose after a few weeks. It's STILL loose and it smokes just fine.

I don't know how one could expect that grommet to stay glued to the handle permanently if one is removing the mouthpiece even remotely frequently.

the problem is, the glue is ineffective. The grommet is whatever (even though I had leaks with the grommet and had to use electric tape), but when the handle literally unravels ... i mean come on.

Since the title of the topic is nammor vs KM, im going to say KM, nammors unravel and need maintanace which I dont want to deal with.

But +1 to making your own hose, its easy and the best. oh and cheap.

I've had mine for 6-8 months of EVERY DAY multiple smoke use and the only issue I've had is the grommet - and that's nothing I'm worried about. I sealed that baby up with a little plumbing tape and was good to go.

Those fuzzy end things have started to turn an awful color (the white stripe) is now a dark brown.

Otherwise - I've had 0 problems with it.

I have a nammor. I know it's going to fall apart any day now. The only 2 people I personally know with nammors have had theirs fall apart.

It's not worth it. Just make a DIY/Home Depot Hose out of your KM when it goes bad.

Just got my first KM hose yesterday and so far I love it..besides the fact it keeps falling out of my hookah :|

used folded up moist paper towel instead of the rubber grommet. i had the exact problem with my km hose on my nour, and then i got the idea to do that and the damn thing hasn't fallen out since.

Why doesn't anyone mention the Grand hoses? I've had mine for two months now and have had no problems with it.

I think because no one likes Neal. mocking.gif

be that as it may, the hoses are pretty solid....
