Hookah With Diffuser Producing No Bubbles?

Up until today, when I would inhale, my hookah (which has a diffuser) would produce bubbles, but now it won't unless I inhale really hard. I tried cleaning it but it didn't help. what might be causing this?

Are you placing the end of the stem right at the bottom of the diffuser? This will cause you to have to draw in harder to produce bubbles. I have had a diffuser for a little over a year now, and when I first started using it, I had the same problem. Give it a try!

I see no cracks or anything in the stem. The one thing I noticed is that now when I blow into the hose, the air no longer comes out the exhaust on the other side of where the hose plugs in. But it comes out of the top of the stem where the bowl goes. That didn't happen before. Does this help?

this is the best way i can explain it.. by making a picture... ihope you like it, i made it myself.

Also dont pull that hard. if you pull easy youll likely to get bubbles.

Actually the stem was faulty, I got it replaced for free. All good now, the water level was fine.

one look at the first post told me that the stem was faulty. the water stops you from being able to blow air up through the bowl.
