In A Predicament...

Recently I placed an order to Hookah-Shisha.com. I put a money order out in the mail Friday. I live in the DFW Area, so I figured it would get to Austin for sure by Tuesday. Well, it's Friday and the mail still hasn't come in yet. I'm pretty nervous.

What should I do? I've been in contact with Hookah-Shisha.com daily since Tuesday, to make sure that they haven't messed things up. I'm going to check on the status of the money order with the receipt tomorrow. Is there any way someone could open up the mail before it reaches hookah-shisha.com and actually cash it?

I work in a bank so I know what a pain money orders can be. As long as you wrote out Hookah Shisha (in pen) on the money order, or whoev they told you to make it payable to, no one but the payee can deposit/cash it.

That's not really true..... Unfortuantely there's a whole class of criminal who specialize in stealing checks, money orders, etc., and manage to cash them though the chances of your particular money order winding up in the hands of someone like that are slim so you really shouldn't worry about it. Looking at it logically, putting the money order in the mail on Friday it really hasn't been that long. You put it into the mail on Friday, so it didn't really start moving through the postal system until Saturday. It didn't move forward on Sunday. So assume they got it Monday/Tuesday. H-S usually takes 24-48 hours (sometimes more) to process an order once paid, so they wouldn't have processed it until Wednesday/Thursday. They ship UPS and UPS never seems to get anything anywhere even right up the street in less than three business days. So you're really still just fine time wise. I don't order from H-S all that often for this very reason. HC and HJ both get it to me next morning just because they use Fed-Ex Ground and I'm within overnight range. My guess is your package will show up Wednesday of next week.
