Brass And Wood Goza

Recommended Posts

Anyone familiar with the Goza? I have found this thread about it, but it doesn't really say a whole lot. HC has an "18 inch Traditional Wood and Brass Goza." Supposedly it is used for Tombeik, ajamy, and Zagoul type of baccy, which is, from what I can understand, pretty old school. Looks really interesting and for $40 might be nice to try, though I think I would stay away from the Tombeik and Zagoul. Looks like a nice travel hookah. Anyone ever used one? Have any insight or whatever?

I've smoked one with a palestinian friend who owns a couple of these, but he always smokes nakhla DA with the thing tongue.gif
We had big clouds and a lot of taste. Maybe if I have some extra cash someday I'll buy one..

Nice to know, thanks, so you DO recommend this? I don't like 2x apple, but I am sure if it smokes well with that flavor it won't be hard to smoke others. I usually stick with AF or Layalina...you think they would be ok with this hookah? Does the one in the picture look anything like the one you have smoked out of?

Ok, so I just recently moved in with my parents for the summer in a whole new town I have never lived in before. One of my friends from college happened to live in the same town, so she took me for a tour and we stopped at some shops. None of them were actual hookah shops, but most had a few hookahs and stuff here and there, nothing really exciting. One did, however, have a small hookah called a "Gooza." Is Gooza the same thing as Goza? I know many people spell Khalil Maamoon differently, not sure if this is the same concept or not. It did not look like the one there in the picture, but did look like a similar design. It had a small metal car antenna sized tube rather than the bamboo stick. It also had a regular clay bowl rather than the one in the picture. It was like $30 or so, so it may be worth picking up, but probably not. Any ideas?

The one I found also had a regular vase as well. It pretty well looked like a regular hookah except the hose. It also did look cheaper than the one in the pic. Edited by delSol_si

I have been using a Goza for a couple of years as my main hookah.

It was originally bought for few dollars. This smoked better than many $300+ priced hookahs like MYA and others.

Airflow is unbelievable, and if you smoke one type of shisha with it, the flavor sticks to the wood.

Here is a picture of mine, notice, mine has a base. I do not use that wooden pipe as a hose, I actually use AF hose. One problem with it is balance. It is tricky to use indoors without leaving coal marks.

Wow, that looks totally BA! I really want one like that. Where did you get it? It looks like it would smoke really well. That hose port looks massive!

Well, a family friend saw it at a friend's place that was using it as a show piece in his living room. He tried it and liked it then I tried it and killed him and took it.

I have no family now, but I have my Goza.

Actually he told me that the guy bought it from a store in Jordan for $3. YES THREE DOLLARS. Those are strictly egyptian made. They are very popular in "Upper Egypt" which is is located in the south - I never knew why they call it upper Egypt - mostly used for straight tobacco.

I cannot give this little monster a fair kudos in here, you really have to try it. I have WOWed over 20 people with it that have been smoking hookah for years.

Damn, $3? I think that constitutes a STEAL. It's always amazing what some people use as decoration that is actually useful. The more you talk about it, the more I want one. I really wish the one on HC came with a stand or something like that so I could smoke it one a regular table to floor. I would really love to smoke with you sometime, but then I realized you live in Canada sad.gif . Congrats on the BA hookah though!

Ever heard the Southpark's "blame canada" song?? lol, I'm joking. Seriously though, I just don't want to drive all that way and have to get a passport and the such.
