Want To Make My Own Km Washable Hose

I have one of these http://www.hookahcompany.com/standard_khal...e_3248_prd1.htm that came with my KM Exotica and its now after only 8 months i think started to SMELL and have a lot of black crap coming out when i blow it out. I want to reconstruct it with tubing so i have a washable KM hose

I want to keep the plastic tips and handles, but I wanna know if the actual hose (ie the coiled hose) runs through the handle or not, as if it does, makes it impossible for me to remove the hose completely. And i need to know if a 12.5mm tube will filt through the handle on either side. Any one have any information on this and any tips on how to dissassemble it?

i would just buy a razan if you want a washable hose, it seems like it wouldn't be worth the trouble to make your own unless you have the right materials and tools

you can separate the cloth outers from the innards and keep the tips, then replace the guts with pvc and tubing.

Ah see I saw that link, but mine doesn't have that loose cloth around the handles, its a thread sorta thing that warps around the length of pipe (see the picture in the link I posted at the top). Thank you for the link though

I dont mind the cardboard stuff in the handle, I knew that it was made from that, I want the tube to run through the cardboard handle so the smoke doesn't actually touch it. I just like the long handle grip! But if there is in fact a metal coil thing that's stuck to the inside of the handle then i guess i am stuck

I don't want to buy a razan because I cant justify the shipping cost (not gonna do a tobacco order for a while) to the UK. And the main problem is all the stories I hear about the poor quality. If it breaks on me, I cant afford to order another one! Edited May 17, 2009 by the_cool

my razan has broken at every point one would expect it to. however, theres genious poured into it, theres rubber grommets at every turn. its like they used hot glue in its construction, so when it breaks, peel off the hot glue and bust out the super glue.works like a charm.
