Moefasaaa
Hey guys,I'm getting the 3-Hose Abyss Hookah with a phunnel bowl from hookah-shisha.com tomorrow...I'm excited haha. The thing with the abyss is, "The finely contoured shaft is made of glossy black painted wood, vertically flanked by a gunmetal black stainless steel tray and central hub."Now, if it has a wooden shaft, how should I go about cleaning it? I have some Bling cleaning solution, but just need to know the basics on thoroughly cleaning my hookah. I didn't maintain the last one I had (mind you, I was at college) as well as I could have, and I want to keep this one as clean as possible. I also plan on buying 3 Nammor hoses ASAP since I've heard good things about them.Any suggestions/tips/advice is appreciated guys!Cheers,Moe

I discovered very quickly how terrible of a pull that thing is. Plus the stem is super light weight, and WILL deteriorate with simple cleaning within 6 months.Bling hookah cleaner isn't necessary. Flat beer, lemon juice, warm water. And usually water will do it.However the phunnel is probably the best investment you could make.
Moefasaaa
Ah thanks man...I've been reading a lot about it through search on this site and I've noticed a lot of the stems break. I've already ordered it so I'm guessing it's a final decision for me...I can't afford a Mya hookah and I don't want a one-hose KM...I figure I'll just try my best to maintain this one and get a Mya or KM after I run this hookah till its death haha. (I'll have a job then hopefully...lol)...I can't believe I've been such a noob regarding hookahs even though I smoke so much haha...love it. No worries though. I'll figure it out. Gonna enjoy it as much as I can. Thanks a lot though,Moe
Sariél
The wood has got a thick coat of lacquer, shouldn't need to use anything special. Buildup grime isn't really a problem, since the shaft will rust out and fall over within a year or so. Start saving for a better pipe now!
