I am pretty sure its Indian. I bought a cheap no name hookah from a local store. not the same one but the box it came in had 4 different pics on the side and one matched that only it was blue. the box did not give a company just made in India on the bottom of the box.

the paint on my vase was 2 tone red and black. red at the bottom and black at the top and all the black washed off after about 2 months. it was really weird not a scratch on it then bam i ran in under the water for a minute to wash the outside off and the black paint just instantly flaked and washed off.

Ive seen similar ones at the local shops here. To be honest the nice Idian guy saw you coming and took pretty serious advantage of you even for $100. But if it smokes and you are happy with it that screw what we think. smile.gif

thank you guys for your comments
i would rather know the truth than being funneled crap,
but i have it now and cant return it, so we'll just see how it is

i smoked it the other night and it smoked pretty well actually,
the only downside being the faint taste of rubber that will hopefully come off once i clean it

upon further inspection, i noticed that AGER is written on the vase.

im doing some research on them now, but if you guys know anything about them, let me know.

I own one Ager for sure, and one that I guessed was, but after seeing some, I dont think it is, I think its just a nice Syrian... They smoke fine.

Did anyone else look at the catalog? Are Ager and Nakhla the same company?

Just pop a phunnel bowl on there and put a nice, wide gauge hose on there and you should be fine! My roommate bought a no name chinese looking hookah similar to that a long time ago. It smoked ok, but then we put my KM Supreme leather wrapped hose on there and it smoke like a champ. His had the metal grommet where you put the stem in and give it about a 45 degree turn to seal it. The grommet broke off, but we just taped it back together, then later glued it and it still works fine.

I think the guy who sold it to you f-ed you over, but at least you have a hookah now! Seriously get a new hose though, you won't regret it.

i just smoked it again with some friends, to get all 4 hoses going.
im really pleased with it
the only downside i could find was that it could get harder to inhale when alot of the hoses were going at once.
but even so, i think this hookah will last me at least 3 months until i move into college.

People definitely have really strong opions of Chinese made hookahs. But if the hookah is taken care of well, cleaned after every use and properly maintained no matter where it's made it will last. My first hookah was a chinese hookah that lasted for over 2.5 years before I upgraded.

My first hookah is still lasting after 5 years!
But I've had to take care of it a lot...
