Vintage Hookah On Ebay

I was looking around on eBay and found this hookah stem. It looks really interesting. Seller says they think it is made out of briar wood. You guys this its worth $13.50? Scalli, have you tried briar wood yet?

looks like an awesome little hand made hookah, I'd pick it up for 13.50.

Only problem I see is, int he 2nd pic there is a seam running down the side, which suggests that part isn't wood at all but rather a plastic of sorts. Just my 2 cents though, no professional opinion.

Thanks for you input . Ya, I was concerned about that as well. I think the bowl is made of wood and the rest is probably rubber or plastic of some sorts.
