Tried Out Something New...

Recommended Posts

So I've noticed that if I ever re-pack a bowl shortly after using it while it's still warm, it starts up much faster because it's already partially heated up. So tonight, it was my first bowl by myself and I wanted to heat it up, so since I have this cool little torch lighter thingy, I ran it across the bottom, middle, and top of the bowl for a few seconds and it started up immediately when I put 1 coal on it instead of using 2 coals. Probably not the best idea, but I just wanted to try it out and see if it worked; and it did lol.

with my 3K QLs, i stack the roll that im using ontop of the windcover while the other 3Ks are going, on the phunnel, so when i need them they are nice and warm and light within 1-2 seconds.

I don't mean how quick the coal lights, I mean how long it takes the bowl to get warm enough to produce smoke.

You could also put it on the burner where you lit your charcoal.

Would that not damage the bowl being on direct contact with the element? I do agree that using a hot/warm bowl versus a cold/neutral bowl is much better. Not quite sure yet what the best method would be though...toaster oven maybe?

I use my torch lighter to light my coals, I use QLs tongue.gif I doubt I'll do it again, just found it kind of cool that it worked, but it seemed to burn the shisha on the sides faster than normal >.> so yeh, probably not gonna do it
