Making A Unique Hookah

Recommended Posts

Hookahcompany.com sells hoses, bases, bowls, etc. Everything you need to make it yours.

I will say, though, that base is one of my favorite designs. You might be happy just replacing the hose and the bowl and leaving the base. Just my 2c

yea all my friends love the base. Ill probably buy the other stuff first and think of getting a base later on because this one works great and looks nice.
Are the king cobra hoses any good? I just think they look tight lol.

If you like them, go for them.

They're not terribly popular around here because they're somewhat narrow. Denizens of this forum tend to prefer Nammor, Razan, and Khalil Mamoon hoses, because they're wide and they give you a lot of smoke. A wide hose is less effective on a hookah with a narrower hose port, however, as yours might be.

Point being, this is your hookah, not ours. Don't feel bad about getting what appeals to you. If you're just lookin for the best possible smoke, though, the forum can be very helpful.

Thanks for the input. Are there any bowls that work wonders compared to the stock one? I like the looks of glass ones. And i dont want to get a phunnel.

Any specific reason you don't want a phunnel? They may be a little big, but being ale to smoke multiple sets of coals on them is an upside.

A nammor/razan hose + small phunnel would enhance your sessions greatly. Also your coal/foil technique seems to need some "training" smile.gif The foil seems to "sack down" which it shouldnt, also it seems like the coal is on the middle of the bowl which isnt desireable, always move the coals around the edge of the bowl. Lastly it seems like the coal isnt fully lit(could be the photo, thats why i write "it seems" all the time wink.gif ) which is really important especially with quicklights.

would the phunnel work fine with shisha besides tangiers? Yea i hurry with the foil haha. And i move the coal around alot but i start it in the middle, ill try using the edges next time. And i think it lit all the way, it is hard to tell in the picture.

Yeah, the phunnel works well with everything, and it's a great buy. I'd recommend trying some "natural" coals like Coconaras, in addition to quicklites.

I second that the coal doesn't look fully lit. The whole thing should be glowing when you first place it on the bowl.

This is the hookah i just bought at a local shop in St. Louis. I was thinking about getting a new base, hose, and bowl to make it my own unique hookah. Any suggestions on good parts?

actually, thats a cheap chinese knock off of a QT. Just for the record.

I always know the coal is lit because it starts to get a little bit of ash on the outer layer, turning it all slightly grey.

I would go for a phunnel next. If you ever decide to get a new hookah, you can always use that on your new one. This makes it a wiser investment.

mocking.gif that makes me laugh.

The natural coals idea is a good one, but if you do decide to stick with instant lights discs, I would flip it so the dome is facing up and the lip is facing down, exact opposite of what you have in the pic. I don't know why, but when I used instant lights way back when, they always seems to work better that way.

Sure the stem is a knockoff? Looks exactly like my QT:s except the color.

and the coour is what shows it's a knock off. That and the hose and bowl. Trust me. smile.gif

Agreed. This one wasn't a big mystery though, just looking at it you get that "hrmmmm" chime going off.

yea i know its a knockoff haha. But it works awesome and has crazy clouds. It surprises all my friends with how well it works. Im thinking of getting a phunnel and a new hose cuz mine is really short.

Don't sweat it dude. Some people prefer form, others prefer function. Personally I have to have both, thats why I ho through women so fast haha.
