Hookah Researcher
I'm trying to learn more about people's preferences in buying shisha. My client is about to launch a hookah website in Canada and needs your help to make sure that he is in tune with what hookah smokers really want. Please help me by completing this 5 minute survey. As a thank you, All Canadian and American citizens who completes the survey will be entered into a draw for a Shisha Prize Pack (valued at $50 CDN).http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=EZCW...ZTxdGXmBw_3d_3d

Sherwood
^^^ not necessarily, but perhaps. Surveymonkey has no commercial links, and is generally used for academic surveys. As a distributor of surveys myself, I sympathize. I'll take it, at least.
Johnny_D
I think we will let this run.I would like the original poster to return and just confirm his envolvement. It seems a little odd. Unless his/her account is a shill to hide the vendor name. Which if they are just trying todo a little market research is understanable.JD

Standard "how often do you smoke, how often do you buy, why do you like your vendor" affair. The only personal info given is for entry into the drawing. Giant Ninja Robot
Due to Sherwood's post of reassurance I took it too, we'll see what the mods think lol. Although I don't understand why they needed my social security number and a picture of my firstborn child along with my address and work schedule. delSol_si
QUOTE (EternalSoil @ May 27 2009, 01:51 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>nothin like free money!I just completed the survey, it says in the end that the price is NOT redeemable for cash. I opted out of providing my phone number though, I would suggest everyone else doing the same, unless mush says its ok. I personally don't want telemarketers calling me. SmokinMoose
Selling tobacco online in Canada is illegal. So unless your client has not read the tobacco control act. This won't fly.

Are there certain exceptions or something?

Are there certain exceptions or something? They are export only. The only competitive advantage a Canadian online Hookah store has is to provide to Canadians faster shipping. If this is done legally the tobacco sold has to be duty paid which will cost an insane amount of money. Trust me I did my research. I wanted to open my own online hookah site. The Canadian Tobacco act states. Deliver or mail 13. (1) No person shall, for consideration, cause a tobacco product to be delivered from one province to another or to be sent by mail unless the delivery or mailing is between manufacturers or retailers or the person is otherwise exempted by the regulations. Giant Ninja Robot
Well that's crappy but you guys have milk in a bag so Canada's still ok in my book.
Sonthert
No, I think you guys need to hold off temporarily...we're dissecting this in the Moderators Section. There are some things that don't quite make sense to me, I did some research and I'm waiting on the other moderators to chime in. I'll get back to you soon...QM is right, the websites in Canada only drop-ship from the United States, like Hookah Hub and the like. Thats not what I'm looking into, though.
