hookahandhockey Posted May 27, 2009 Share Posted May 27, 2009 I placed an order with hookahcompany.com on May the 8th for the following...36" Km Green PearMedium Tangiers BowlTangiers ShnozzberryTangiers SourThe emailed me about a week and a half later telling me the hookah was on back order and it would take another week to get to me. I was disappointed but i got over it. I finally got the box in today (may 27th) only to find three errors with my order...Instead of Sour i got MintInstead of Tangiers Bowl I got Egyptian BowlI got no grommet that fit my new hookahI have already emailed them to see what they can do so i guess i am just posting this for sympathy. I e-mailed them mostly out of good-will since their "screw-ups" were primarily in my favor (upgraded 50g to 250g- turns out they were out of the 50g of that flavor) and then they switched brands on one of my flavors (from Naklha to Fusion) but meh I got way more shisha than I paid for and told them right off the bat I wasn't upset about the brand switch- though they sounded like they would have taken care of me if that had bothered me. delSol_si Posted May 27, 2009 Share Posted May 27, 2009 I have never had any major issues with HC. I had one or two leaking boxes of shisha before but it hadn't made to big of a mess so nbd. I also ordered a hose gasket from them that was too small and thick for my hose, but that really isn't their fault since they don't know how big my hose it. Overall I have had good experience with them, but I have never ordered a hookah from them before either. If you need to order gaskets, I would recommend H-S, cheaper and worked better for me. I am surprised you are having trouble with them. From what I understand, Eric works closely with them so he may be a good person to ask about this. And they haven't shipped it out yet, I even called them. I understand about the holiday weekend and all but seriously, I've never had a problem like this with them before. I took a break between ordering this time cause last time they got some of my flavors wrong too. Its been a couple months since I last ordered, it used to be once a month. I tried out my new hookah today while also trying my first Tangiers experience. Since i did not have the tangiers bowl i ordered i used the next best thing.... a vortex bowl. I struggled for two hours trying to get something more than pure coal smoke but ended up quitting. Any quick tips? (I am OCD so this drives me crazy lol) and 2. my last order took 2 and a half times longer to arrive than it should have. (but I blame fed ex for that one. I was home for over a week waiting on the delivery never once left my house the guy finally stops outside my house on the road and ask my brother who was in the garden if he knew where my address was. then he pulls in i see him looking at the address sign on the house I walk outside and he says "Glad i caught you home this time I have tried to deliver this 3 times this week but you wernt here.") but again like i said I don't really blame hc for #2 that was just the fed ex guy being lazy and trying to cover his own ass. I would be surprised if they didn't do right by you. Like Mike said, be nice. They can (and have) told hostile and surly customers to fly a kite.
