newjacksm
I want to order something from them and I was surfing the other "forum" and lets just say they were bashing them for having fake products namely km's and such. I haven't seen them post on here in a while so I would like to know whats going on with them.On the fake products, the person who said that it shouldn't be a surprise to them and it probably shouldn't be to concerning but still leaves me wondering for some reason only because I haven't seen or heard there name pop up in a while.I want one of there Syrians.. Sonthert
Interesting. There are fake Chinese KMs out and about in the Los Angeles market...The pictures I saw look consistent with what a KM should look like. The Syrians look like common bell design stuff, brass, but common-bell. If they are sending fake stuff, on the other hand and calling it KM, I wouldn't imagine they'd hesitate to use pictures of real KMs. So, the pictures look on the up and up anyhow. Stuie
I hope this isn't true. Sad to send a vendor do stuff like that. Let's just hope it's just bad dealings with some less knowledgeable users.
Zinite
I was at Sky Smoke Shop here in Tucson the other day and I was staring at one of their hookahs, swearing that it was KM Kafae. I had him take it down so I could look at it and it looks ALMOST the exact same, except a few small differences (much smaller hose port, no KM tray or hose, different stamp on the tray holder). Not to say it wouldn't have smoked fine, but there are KM knockoffs everywhere these days.
newjacksm
Well to say the least lets just say the new owner of HD made these assumptions which is why I wouldn't take it so seriously, but I want to know more-so where the heck they have been!Edit:: Not to get off topic here, but whats wrong with common bell design Syrians Edited May 30, 2009 by newjacksm
cotsi95
Sounds like neil is just trying to bash other competition, he is know to do that a lot and most of what he says is complete BS.Common bells have issues purging.

Which the hookah could have very well been. The only thing that might off put it, is the stamp. Because trays and hoses can be lost, and KM hasn't always put hoses with their names of them to my knowledge, just large hoses. I'd take a second look at it, get some pics of it and get another opinion.

antouwan
gH's pipes seem to be 'lighter.' doesn't mean that they're fake at all. some one in the industry told me that KM has a tiered production style. think of it like the myas and econo myas.nuff said. RingsMaster
lol all KM's are hand made so wouldnt it be realistic to say that they could weigh different amounts and may have a different seal, who knows the guy who was maiking it could have felt cool one day and made his own.i wouldnt worry about it too much i dont think any site that has there name everywhere and moves alot of product is going to sell knock off without saying they are knock offs.and damn stuie you were right pages of speculation lol.
