Greetings everyone,

(Like many) I've been lurking for a while but have never posted, and figured I should introduce myself. My name is Gary and I live about 10 miles north of Boston, Ma. I've been a pipe and cigar smoker for a few years, but I didn't get a hookah until several months ago. My brother and his friends had been going to a hookah bar in Boston for a while, so I wanted to see what this was all about (made sense too as I am of Armenian decent; apparently my grandmother had a hookah which she frequently smoked).
So now it's several months later, and I have 3 hookahs:

Jimmy - Sahara 3 hose (decent)
Bimmy - Mya Diva 2 hose (nice)
Dillon - Mya Obelisk 4 hose (very nice)

(Yeah, I feel the need to name my hookahs)

Among my group of friends, I seem to have become the hookah 'doctor' fairly quickly (mostly thanks to this site). Not that I'd consider myself any sort of real hookah guru, I just tend to get really into whatever I like doing. I have an assortment of different bowls, quite a bit of shisha, and probably 10 different types of coals, all of which are the result of constantly experimenting with different combinations and setups. Despite all that, I can't really say I have a definite "go-to" shisha yet. Some day...

Anyhow, I've become a big fan of tangiers despite the rollercoaster humidity where I live. I actually came across HF while looking for information on getting tangiers to smoke right. I'll probably be posting more in the future now that I've actually gotten my (long.. haha) introduction out of the way.

youre like the 2nd or 3rd bostonian to join in the past couple week. Welcome aboard, i havent tried tangiers but good to hear that youve gotten it to work even up here.
