Sprinkle it in, and don't necessarily touch the foil. I prefer my phunnel to my Egyptians for almost everything, including Starbuzz, and fluffy works great. It gives you great flavor and great clouds for about 1 hour. Works for me.The short sessions are the fault of Starbuzz. It's engineered that way, regardless of what you smoke it from. bigasif Posted June 1, 2009 Share Posted June 1, 2009 I'm kinda new to the whole phunnel business too, but I smoked some sb x on the beach as my first phunnel smoke ever (just got it about a week back) and I packed it moderately. Not just sprinkle, but not packed like I did with Tangiers/Nakhla. I'd grab some in my hand and just throw it in there, but made sure it was just under the rim before I put the foil on so that the top didn't get charred. It gave me a solid 1.5 hours of tasty tasty stuff Just my 2 cents...don't sprinkle too loosely, but don't pack it tight either. Somewhere in between, and making sure it doesn't touch the foil. Oh, also poked A LOT of holes using a push pin..didn't need to poke with a toothpick all the way down, since it wasn't packed too tightly, so air still circulated in there nicely. If I get a chance to smoke tonight (probably won't since I'm heading out for dinner in a bit) I'll take a pic...guess I'll try out the blue mist tonight.
