Broken check valve!!

So somehow at a party over the weekend, the check valve of my hookah got snapped off, clean off at the weld seam, leaving a big gaping hole, it works relatively well just putting foil over it, but wondered if any of you knew a more permanent solution? Also I'm debating using this as an exuse to get a new one, mainly I'm considering the mya qt and the social smoke junior, i'd want something small like that that still smokes really well, so whats the word guys, fix or replace?

if you're often just smoking with your friends and not random people, you can put a piece of chewed gum which will successfully seal off any leaks...thats what i did and worked perfectly but i have 2 newer hookahs now!

you should try useing some sand paper to rough it up, then clean it off.  Goto home depot or lowes and some JB Weld, it is a 2-part epoxy putty designed for metal and other types of material.  You can fill the hole with it or use it to reattach your valve.  This stuff dries as hard a metal

Good idea on the JB weld oggie, thanks! still prolly gonna get the mya though, now that the seeds are planted in my mind, its only a matter of time till i give in, but that should hold me over till then, thanks!
