I’m a newbie, help mee!!!

Relax.
Your hookah is just fine. You paid a little high, but thats what happens to most first timers. I'm sure you won't let it happen again.
Yes it creates a LOT of strong, wonderful, sweet, SMOKE. If you do it right there will be a small cloud in your room. Unless you start buring serious incense now to get them used to it, you're busted.
Al Amir is just jine. There is this cool search engine on the left side of the forum screen. type in "review" (no quotes) and prepare for a lot of reading about MANY different brands and flavours. You can also type in a brand name and a flavour for more specific reviews. The two apples all have anise (black licorice) taste to varying degrees.
Your tobacco (ma'asell, shisha, whatever) is good for years as long as you keep it sealed up so it doesn't dry out..try searching "storage".
Your coals are quicklites. They'll work fine though depending on the brand yo may get some taste from them. Hit them with a standard bic lighter untill they start to really spark (hold them with the tongs) and set them on something that can take the heat. if all else fails use the tray at the top of the hookah. once they get whit ALL over, top, bottom, sides, but them on the screen or foil. SMOKE.
I'll see if I can drum up a working "how to" video, though you might search out "video" as well.
That help?

Hey welcome to the forum...Mush seems to have basically covered everything you were wondering about in your post....but i might add that yes fumari and starbuzz seem to be the two of the most popular flavors around right now as well as tangiers....but if your looking for a variety of flavors like you said then i would reccomend going with the fumari due to the fact they have "sampler" package typ deals on there site where you can get a good amount of ma'ssell in 10 flavors or so, where as with starbuzz they only offer a 3 can social pack at socialsmoke.com thats 50 bucks and its only 3 flavors....its definitly worth the money if you smoke often and know you like what your getting...but for you id reccomend the fumari so you can get alot of flavors that interest you at a relatively cheap price. Happy smoking!ps: also if you find that you really like to smoke....then id reccomend picking up a 250g of a tangiers flavor over at hookahcompany.com

Welcome to the forum!  Enjoy your hookah, you'll have a good time.  I honeslty don't think that hookah makes the apartment smell that much.  it's nothing like cigarettes, so if it does, it's not really a bad thing!

Ive knowticed a slight scent of whatever i was smokeing for maybe a half a day after one session, its not like oh god it smells tho, its more like hmm it smells like strawberrys, yummy. then again my rents dont care, but i would say the smell doesnt stick around and its not a bad smell and its quite light, depending how heavy a smoker you are. If yer worried about it crack the window or turn a fan on after the sessoin and spray something.

wow thanks a lot everyone for the input, its really helping me learn a
bunch before i try my first hookah session.  i read a bunch of
reviews last night and went ahead and got white peach, watermelon,
guava, grape, and tropical punch on the fumari site. i was debating
getting a green crushed velvet hose cover from hookah-shisha, but i
dunno how those things look. What do you think?

The smell the hookah is not that bad at all, i think it almost makes things smell better, it like incense! We live in a hardcore apartment (as in rules I mean) and the owners have no promblem with the hookah smell (its not invasive like cigs) But they WILL have problem when you burn big holes in the floors with the coals (we have done that and i dont think we will be getting our deposit back to say the least)
