About Nakhla Wetness ...

Recommended Posts

I have gotten Nakhla Strawberry and Nakhla Tropicana from a local store and I have gotten Nakhla Mizo grape from HC or H-S, can't remember and none of them have had aluminum. I have never had aluminum wrapping on any shisha I have bought. I have had shiny aluminum colored plastic wrap, but not actual aluminum...I would think wrapping in actual aluminum would make it really expensive to package...

When you mention it... its more like a kinda thin aluminum "film" on plastic, still ,the lower quality variant is just a half-transparent plastic bag with "nakhla" "written" on it here and there, so no misconception there.

Tangiers is oily...not wet. If Nakhla's adding more water to their shisha, it will make it last less time, not more. Water makes the tobacco's flavor give out faster. What brand has the longest flavor/smoke duration? I'd like to think Tangiers. What has the lowest water content? Tangiers. Its not a coincidence. Water makes the tobacco cheaper. If you mean its getting oilier, thats something different. Adding more water to Nakhla will make it die faster, if I understand what's going on here...

Is there a benefit to laying out the wet stuff to dry out a bit? Kind of like a chef would reduce a sauce to increase it's intensity? For example: If you laid out some drippy AF and let some of the water evaporate--would you have a concentrated and less sloppy product afterwards?

I ask because I'm hooked on this little egyptian bowl that came with my Mya--but anything real drippy just makes a horrible mess. But tobacco that isn't drippy wet works perfectly. Would love to still be able to smoke AF and the wetter stuff using an Egyptian but without all the sloppy mess and weirdness in flavor and session that happens when the juices run down from the bowl.

No! Water based tobaccos stop smoking when they dry out. You need to protect that water.

mmm double apple.

oh and on a side note, i think if the new stuff is soaked that will be a good thing. in my experiences and everyone i have talked to about it says the stuff in the cans and jars is the best nakhla because it is juicy, they say it lasts twice as long which imho would make it have close if not the same duration as tang, and the flavor is 5 times stronger from jar/can.

Hmm. Interesting point. Maybe Nakhla is supposed to be wet, but it dries out in their packaging and we see "dry" as the norm, when its supposed to be wet. That additional flavor comes from the moisture...I think I may change my opinion and go with mattarios on this one.

Are the jars pretty consistent? I remember reading a jar review that said the seal was bad and the top of the jar was bone dry and the bottom was only slightly moist.

Also--on Nakhla's site they say that make 250g cans--anyone seen them for sale?
