Tobacco properly stored should last at least a year. You might to juice it up occasionally, though.

antouwan
to my knowlege refrigeration is a bad idea. consensus here would probably be polypropylene tupperware style containers. ie something preferably shallow and wide. you can tell if something is polypropylene because the containers will have a '5' inside the litte recycle triangle and immediately underneath that the letters 'PP'

Kapten Kanel
Ive smoked several years old shisha, works great, if its too dry just use some glycerin/honey/etc. NO REFRIGERATOR, damn where did that rumor start

mushrat
Any air tight container will do. NO refridgeration. The glycerin acts as a natural preservative so its not needed.
gunsboy
Many many of my friend who claim that they are hookah kings store their shisha in the fridge. Usually they buy it from back home in huge bags and they store it in the fridge because they think that Double Apple Shisha has apples in it. I did that too when I first started but after reading through forum I tried not to and it was perfect and it kept my shisha fesher, plus who the hell keeps shisha for a year. Now I only buy what I would smoke. I usually finish my order within a month period.
