A few questions:

What do ya' all think of the coals I'm getting, the Romman Natural Lemonwood and instant lights that come with the hookah?

What do you think of my flavor/brands of shisha?

Do you people like the Obelisk?

Oh and lastly and not leastly, I'm wondering, how should I light the coals, yes I've looked at the beginner guides, but what kind of portable surface could I use to light them on, my stove is electric so I cant do the burner thing. Do I light them right on the tin foil?

Thanks for the help. This forum is awsome! Been reading it for the last two hours.

just throw those coals right on the electric range I do it every time works great.

sounds like a good set up.Personally I like the smoke you get from the lemonwood but I find there just to much of a pain in the butt to work with.

The obelisk is a solid hookah, it's the only hookah I have at the moment due to my QT base breaking (thankfully John has sent me his last one he had in his stock smile.gif ).

Just make sure it is air tight right when you get it, don't settle for anything but perfect especially on a MYA. If there is a leak, find it and plug it up. You will have a great session once you get your bowl packing and heat management down . I suggest you try out some natural coals like coco's or Johns Chronic coals found on his website hookahjohn.com.

PS: invest in a small phunnel bowl, you won't regret it.

I like the Romman lemonwood coals just because they are kind of nostalgic to me. They do light pretty quick on a stove though, but they burn out fast so you will have to keep relighting new ones.

Is your stove a glass top or coil type?

the quicklights that come with (if you bought at hookah-shisha) are golden quicklights
IN MY EXPERIENCE they taste quite awful
others like them
3kings are much better, in my opinion
and i just started using Hookah John's CH quicklights
which are quite nice
smoke like crazy tho
obelisk is a beautiful hookah
id buy one if i had the space
