Perfect Water Level

Recommended Posts

Bambino Owners
i get a lot of water in my hose
i have to blow out the water during a session, because i can feel it in the hose when i take a pull
i take rather hard pulls which doesnt help
i want to know
what is the perfect water level?
and i have no eye for distances
using the ridges on the hookah vase, how many lines up from the bottom should the water be?
Stuie, i believe you use this ridge on the vase measuring technique on our QTs
so i was wondering if you can check on you bambinos also
thanks guys

here's what i do.

With a diffuser. One line of ridges above the middle.

Without a diffuser. Right up to middle of the ball.

Definately half way full without a diffuser. If you pull that hard
you may want to go a bit less. At half I get a bit of water on
the hose's end but not enough to get into the hose.

I have a diffuser, just too lazy to find it...

Its no question for you. If you are getting water in the hose since you like to take a hard pull. you have to put the water level so that it won't enter the hose. That's it. I like to put my water as high as I can without getting water in and had to play with each hookah before I found the right level point. Keep in mind that when you pull very hard you are also pulling in a larger ammount of heat. Have you tried taking a much longer, softer pull? Maybe it will taste better to you, won't burn the shisha.

1. fill it up as much as you usually do.
2. assemble the hookah (without hose, head et al - essentially just the base and stem)
3. blow through the top of the stem (where you'd put the bowl) and all the excess water will come out of the hose port.
4. result: perfect water level.
