Just wondering what everyone's results are. I'm working on getting the burn level down on mine. Vortex and glass screen are in the mail. Currently I'm using an Egyptian clay on a Mya Gelato Econo w/ foil and 2 Coconaras.

Now thats a shisha puck, lol.

I typically get smoked out before i get a whole bowl cooked through..just the top gets somewhat caked, like my 5 hours of tangiers OG horchata, just had like..a few millimeters of crisp. The rest was still good. A nice testament to Tangiers.

I only used to get fully burnt through cups of shisha using a egyptian (less shisha), and especially with a steel plate.

lol you guys must make massive holes to have so much ash in your bowl

if you're smoking tangiers and poking holes the way Eric recommends, then yep...the holes are pretty big. i use toothpick sized holes...or sometimes the poker on the back of my tongs(which make bigger holes than a toothpick)

Kanel is that for real? That looks like what I imagine would happen without foil.

Hehe yep but i dont have anything to do with it. Some guy at a party insisted on making a huge hole in the middle of the foil and then putting a quicklight on it, it was also pure nakhla mint in the bowl. It wasnt my hookah, shisha and stuff so i just let him try for the - rofl.gif

Yes. Theory behind it exists in this page:

(It seemed to work very well, btw. (Flavor, smoke, and economy-wise)

One more reason why the tea light for a phunnel is BA.

Mine never burns, but I don't fill it to the top as most of those pictures are showing, so I end up getting a long lasting session with the taste still there.
Usually there will be like only one or two spots that are darker, but thats about it.

ok... you totally mis-interpreted that post. the ring that I see in your bowl is even with the edges. the ring in the other post is far above the edges.

the reason why you would do that is so that the shisha doesn't end up looking like its had coals pushed down into it. It also heats the bowl less, so you dont create a shisha puck. it is creating even more of a vaporization effect by having the heat source above the shisha with heat being sucked down into it.

Though, thinking about it, i am not even sure how you did that. There must have been wayyy too many coals on there. I have never seen a bowl come out of a hookah from the lounge looking like that. Maybe work on your heat management?
