FamiliarJoe
I just got my package from HJ this morning. Horchata smells weird so I put it in it's tub. I.L.T.O.B.C smells amazing but it's lucid so that's to be expected. I will smoke that first.ORANGE SODA SMELLS SO DAMN GOOD, it's OG to. I am letting it all acclimate in their tubs for a bit in my kitchen. Sadly I hear Floridians have a hard time with acclimating due to the humidity :|So since im Orange Soda smells so dank, does that mean it only needs maybe an hour or so to acclimate?Still trying to get this whole process down, packing a lucid bowl until I get an answer

evilded777
The advice I have received: if its still smells good after 20 minutes, SMOKE IT!I don't really have to acclimate; I let both Noir and Lucid sit for about 20-30 minutes and that's it. mohinder
I have a question about acclimating, seeing as I have three flavours of OG coming tomorrow...How strongly does it smell? I have a very small upstairs sitting room that I'll be acclimating them in most likely, is it going to be overpowering? Shall I do it in the shed or something? I don't want to be overpowered and KO'd by orange soda smell

I just don't want to fumigate the house for 24 hours, they might not be so pleased with that! evilded777
The difference between Lucid and OG is night and day, but if you're careful and pack well, OG won't hit you that hard. That said, and being a regular smoker, I still don't smoke OG during the week. I save that for weekends, because it can re-arrange your face for sure.
ryno
With my experience, Orange Soda has always needed little to no acclimation, and I live in Indiana. And my motto for Tangiers is, if it smells good, its good to smoke!

Hookie The Hookah
Be careful now. Last night I rolled into my friends house (3 and a half hour drive south) with a tub of orange soda that had acclimated at my own house. I was all pumped to smoke them out with it and packed it immediately without letting it sit for a while. Put the coals on and it was harsh as hell, almost took me out for the night. I packed up a small eygptian head with some starbuzz and we smoked that for a while and gave the phunnel with the orange soda about 2 hours to sit. Threw it on and it smoked perfectly. Just a word of caution...

How was it "not enjoyable" ? If it wasn't harsh ... what was it?

The smell tasted better than my bowl was hitting lol.I just read a thread on heat management and I think I will try cracking my coco's in half and spreading the heat around. Bulldog_916
Use 2 halves on a small phunnel. Basically get it down to as little heat as possible while still having good or okay clouds. Then you'll know.
