juice
I received my new glass mini bowl, glass screen, and glass mod today! Woo hoo! Like any good scientist, though, single variables are much easier to control than multiple. These three new additions mean three variables at once. I'm hoping anyone with an all-glass setup can help me out.I'm guessing 2 cocos with a wind cover and making sure not to overhead. Does the glass screen nub face up or down? (Hope it's up -- down runs into the mod)How long before I break these things? Any ideas on storage?I'm kind of bummed ... got a really raw throat for some reason ever since my Monday smoke. Blarg. ryno
The glass nub on the screen points up.Coal wise, it may need more than 2, I'd try 2 with a windcover first but you have to let the coals sit on the bowl for a few min to heat it up before it will start to smoke. The glass bowls from MNH are actually really strong, I've seen one roll off a table, onto the bottom wood part, roll of that onto smooth concrete and not even crack. evilded777
Awesome!I do not have the screen or mod for my mini glass. I use 2 coconut coals on it, windcover as needed.Ryno is correct about the screen, nub up (I have one that fits my Tangiers Med Phunnel). Not sure how I feel about the glass screen. Kind varies, sometimes its golden and sometimes it sucks like an electrolux.I'm not a big mod fan, mostly due to variable luck with getting a good smoke from it (I guess the same as the glass screen). But I can not tout the mini glass enough, I love mine... I will be getting another, and one for a friend. I should (fingers crossed) have a jet glass coming to me for my birthday on Friday (WOOT). MN_Clouds
awesome-enjoy the mini glass. I have that set-up and it's my go-to short session bowl. The screen takes a while to get used to, but once you get the hang of it, it's wonderful.

Plex
I just ordered one of these mini glass phunnels from MNH with the scalli mod. Is it true that foil is better than glass screens?
BigSexyPanda
I have the same setup you have, but I never took the time to figure out how to correctly use the glass screen. I've used mostly starbuzz with it, but I'm pretty sure everything else will work the same way besides tangiers, with the bowl and mod only I just sprinkle it in and two coconaras should be plenty. I doubt you'll need a windcover except maybe to get it started, but watch the heat, because it's so small it's easy to get burning. So definitely just start with two and give it a few minutes see if it starts smoking. Good luck.
