DistortedTruth
Hello. This is my one post to stay active . I was wondering if anyone could give the rundown of Nicotine levels in the top brands of Shisha (i.e. Starbuzz, Tangiers, AF, AW, AA, etc.). That'd be much appreciated .Thanks! ryno
The levels break down into two categories: washed and unwashedWashed usually have a .05% and are brands like Al Fakher, Starbuzz, and fusion.Unwashed are usually .5% and are brands like Nakhla.Tangiers is a little different and I believe Eric saying that the OG line is .3%Theres a list out there somewhere of all the washed/unwashed brandsEdit- http://www.hookahforum.com/?showtopic=19945theres a topic with a list of shishas and their nicotine

DistortedTruth
Thank you. I'll be buying AF and Starbuzz as my first purchases, so that helps out a lot.

Sonthert
In fact, the nicotine levels you read on packages might as well be disregarded. Tangiers is somewhere between .3 and .4%, so I would roughly estimate the following numbers in terms of nicotine:Starbuzz .03%Al Fakher .04%Nakhla .2%Al Waha .13%Romman .25%Layalina .05%

dizzbizz
Layalina? A buzz? I've never been buzzed on Layalina. But I do get buzzed from AF and SB.
Tikhman
Amount of nicotine isn't the only thing that matters, other factors also play a role. For example, nicotine is absorbed differently at different pH levels.
ilikemyusername
not to mention the ammounts of goo in any given shisha. one gram of tobacco may be .5%, added to that 1 gram of molasses and the total ammount of nicotine drops in half to .01 right? my math may be off, but my logic is spot on. Sonthert
Its all Kentucky Windage. Just my estimates from listening to all sorts of people and their reactions and some smoking experience. Layalina is washed, as far as I know even though their package says otherwise. This is one reason why I say disregard their numbers. They don't know and in some cases would rather misreport the amount.

delSol_si
I've got an unopened box of Layalina that says it is 0.5% But, like you said, they could be misreporting.

Sonthert
Layalina made a big deal when they first came out "Look how smooth it is." Comparing it to other brands with nicotine in, and of course, if that number is wrong, its an unfair test.
TizaNabi
now go to your local city website and check air pollution for your area. Add that to the ammount of nicotine and you'll see that its a waste of time either to worry , or to breathe.
EvansLight
Even the numbers Eric gave are just guesses. Everything from the rain that year, to how its prepared can modify the nicotine content.
