Hydro Herbal Shisha Main Component?

Recommended Posts

So I just had the blueberry Hydro Herbal and it wasn't bad at all (though we're drinking). I've checked the official website and done some searching on here and can't find any info on it's components. It doesn't seem like Black Label or Soex at all. Someone said it might be corn husks. Any definitive word? Perhaps a hookah-shisha.com rep on here?

Thanks!

I'm not quite sure, but try giving hookah-shisha a call...they're always good with customer service, I've called em after 11pm on a sunday and someone still picked up to answer a question of mine

made of sugar cane

That's what I was pretty sure it was. Not bad stuff imo, fucking easy to clean up.

Most likely Sugar Cane Bagasse.

Health risks: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bagasse

"Workplace exposure to dusts from the processing of Bagasse can cause the chronic lung condition pulmonary fibrosis."

So inhaling sugar cane bagasse particles can cause pulmonary fibrosis. And we're expected to SMOKE the stuff... Obviously no studies have been done, but I'll stick to tobacco. At least I KNOW how that is going to kill me.

I've already found plenty of speculation, but no viable sources. Also, since it looks 100% different than other herbals brands, I'm quite skeptical.

The Bagasse health speculation doesn't help to much either as dust and cooking to smoke point are completely different vectors.

I love how everyone is willing to chime in w/o any sources or valid, proven info.

Please people, from here on out so that it can actually be useful info for those interested, let's keep it clinical.

Sources, articles, links, or GTFO :/

I sure hope you aren't referring to me.

Sugar Cane Bagasse is a common component in herbal shishas. Until someone at Hydro confirms otherwise, we can assume that it is a bagasse based compound. Inhalation of bagasse is detrimental to the lungs. Though inhalation of bagasse through a vapor may be different, the truth is we do not know either way.

Counterpoints:

1. It has not yet been established that Hydro uses sugarcane. (You paint all herbals with the same brush; do you have a source to back it up?)
2. Your latest post differs from the one where you pose bagasse dust inhalation issues as the same to cooking vapors.
3. You are only one of many who are posting "answers" without backing them up. There's been a pile of people posting speculation in this thread, which is counterproductive.

1. I never said Hydro uses Sugarcane. I said I am assuming it is til they say otherwise.

2) I never said that bagasse dust inhalation is the same as cooking vapors. Direct quote:

I'm saying the same thing either way. The inhalation of this particle is very harmful (If you need a source for this, I'll just tell you there is a disease named after the inhalation of bagasse, bagassosis or bagasse disease). That's just fact. What we don't know is how big of a difference smoking it through a hookah makes. This same logic can be applied to the cigarettes vs. hookah debate.

3. I never claimed to have the answers. I'm merely stating what's already known about other herbal brands. Take it or leave it. I'm not trying to start a debate about the health factors of smoking bagasse.

Best of luck getting answers out of Hydro or H-S.

I'll go with leave it, as it's all OT for what this threads aims are. We're no closer to documenting what this mystery base component of Hydro is that seems so different from the other herbal offerings.

Most of us here have read the thread that did have links to "proof" that bagasse or w/e was said to be worse for you than tobacco. I believe it was mentioned when Scalli was making his own herbal shisha.

Just saying. That's prolly where Zinite got his info. I am convinced it's worse. Yes I know this is OT, but all threads get OT...just something that happens in a discussion on any forum.

All of these additions are totally OT because you all went off about bagasse when you don't know what Hydro is made out of, when the whole thread is called "Hydro Herbal Shisha Main Component?"

If nobody knows, just let the thread die, rather than adding pointless speculation about non related shit.

Why the fuck does it matter? We're talking about herbal shisha... it's not like we're discussing the effect of domesticated dachshunds on 18th century pre-American colonies.

Goddamnit. You still don't see.

Someone asks a ingredient. A bunch of helpful fuckers chime in about totally unrelated shit and sully up the thread.

For my money it's not even sugar cane so everything you and like 4 other people added has zero to do with anything.

If you want to know, ask a hookah-shisha rep like you said in your OP. I am getting a kick out of how I am ruining your day by just simply adding on to this discussion.

Step off the rag.

Not trying to say anything negative but out of curiosity what are the benefits of smoking herbal?

None that I can tell unless someone is using it to wean themselves off tobacco/nicotine. My interest was originally sparked by articles mentioning shop owners switching over to herbals due to the bans in California.
