Are Your Animals Attracted To Your Hookah Sessions...?

Recommended Posts

Just to get it out of the way---

I do NOT smoke them out/shotgun/contact-cloud or whatever you might think; I'm an animal nut and against any form of that.

But I do notice that my cat is incredibly interested in my shisha. She's pretty independent so it's not just that she sees that I'm inactive and wants attention. She was ALL up in my face when I'd exhale and followed the smoke until it disappeared.

In fact, the only time I saw her today was outside during my smoking session. Any one else notice their animals taking interest in your shisha? Maybe the smell? Maybe seeing smoke coming out of me that she isn't used to?
My blind dog seems to care less, smell or otherwise. Maybe the cat's jealous that she can't blow rings...?

My dogs show only passing interest, probably for the smells that are there. I don't have any cats atm so I can't say about cats, the two at my grandparents place don't care about it one way or another. My dogs will just lay at my feet or in my lap and chill with me.

Yeah man my cat's always look at my smoke rings and clouds like..."WTF WAS THAT IT JUST COME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!??"

Every time they are always just as surprised as the first time tongue.gif

I have two Siamese cats. Kaballah at 30 pounds of blue eyes and bad attitude just ignores my smoking. She doesn't even notice. Kabuki, the tabby point is much more opinionated and is the most vocal cat I've ever seen. He'll leave the room as soon as I start packing a bowl, curl up in the hallway and grumble at me every time he hears the pipe rumble on the inhale. Both of them have gotten into the tobacco before though and eaten enough to be on a nicotine buzz for a full day. I'm really careful about where I acclimate since that happened.

Alot of smaller dogs are always curious about the hookah, then I purge it, and they tend to stay away from it. Cats always seem intrigued by it though

My cat just liked being in the garage when I smoke and I think it is all the exploring he can do and not due to the hookah. He does like to come close to my hookah when i'm pulling but i think it is the sound of the water in the base more than anything else.
