Another Asshole In Nc

Recommended Posts

Sorry if this has been posted, I looked and didn't see it. Looks like rssbot found another asshole in NC that is helping to shut hookah bars down.

This is completely ridiculous. The dumbass blames hookah for people getting hooked on ciggs. I love hookah, I hate ciggs. I don't see the connection between the two.

I started smoking cigs BEFORE I started smoking hookah, and hookah helped me ween off cigs and get through withdrawal easier...that's the only connection I can make between the two. Any jackass that smokes hookah and goes "hmm, maybe I'll try smoking cigs now, since smoking's so fun and delicious!" is a...jackass.
and yeah.

I'm starting to prefer cigarettes over hookah now. Started on hookah. I also find it lame that so many hookah smokers condemn the smoking of cigarettes. It's kinda like arguing over music preference.

tech n9ne still sucks

cigs suck. They taste like shit. Not that I have tasted shit before.

I used to smoke for a little while. It stinks and I cannot even stand someone smoking cigs around me when I am smoking shisha. It ruins the shisha taste.

I do not really give a shit which one is worst on my health but I love my hookah and I would never go back to cigs.

Its a very poor argument as far as trying to keep hookah bars open, but when I was also quitting ciggie's, hookah did abate stressful nic fits sometimes.

Seems you need a country club / cigar club circle of networking to get a true exception to these bans..

Well, to help Moefasaa's argument, last semester in school, I took my hookah to the smoking lounge all the time. There were multiple times in which someone would light up a cigg, then take a hit off my hookah, and then put out their cigg. They weren't able to go back to smoking the cigg because the hookah was so much nicer. THEN, those same people would come back later and say they didn't want to take a hit because they knew they would not be able to finish the cigg if they started smoking the hookah(only because they like the hookah so much more).

On another note, I was smoking hookah and some guy I was smoking with offered me a hit off his cigg. I declined at first until he told me it was flavored and "smooth". I figured I would give it one shot. I took a hit and seriously gagged.

personally I think the whole smoking ban is ridiculous. Of course institutions should be allowed to ban smoking within their property and I respect that. However, keeping people from making a choice to go into a hookah bar or light up a cigg is violating free choice, a basic right in the pursuit of life and happiness.

I'm not saying smoking is a smart choice nor am I saying it will further anyone's life. What I am saying is that the process of natural selection is at work every day in the world. People chose to smoke, they chose to accept the risks. People chose to do retarded things (like hit a wd40 can (saw it on youtube)) they accept the risk. You can never protect people from themselves, no matter how hard you try. I say let nature take it's course. I don't want cancer, but I chose to continue smoking hookah and if by some RARE chance something negative results from it then that's on me.

People die every day, some just chose to do it faster. It's how the world needs to work. Trying to keep everyone from making negative choices which can kill them will lead to overpoulation and death of people from starvation, illnesses, etc. Death and life will balance out no matter how hard you try to fight it.

The reason they have to go that route is that, according to one study, hookahs produce no 2nd hand smoke.

Leave the cigarette smokers be. They're our brothers anyways. If they take them down, we're following them soon.
