Plex
QUOTE (mavsfan31 @ Jun 15 2009, 02:23 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>How would I go about repairing an area of carpet that has been burned with a coal? Any suggestions? If you want to blend it in, you could clean out the melted/burned fibers with an x-acto/razor and then 'graft' some carpet fuzz aquired from nearby carpet (u can get fuzz by passing a razor across) ... once you have enough fuzz, glue the fuzz ball it into the hole with CA (super glue).... get enough CA glue on the fuzz ball so that it stiffens up and keeps its form... i did this before when i accidentally touched a soldering iron into the carpet. I was able to conceal the hole with this method... it won't be the same as replacing the carpet, of course... this is just a quick way to hide it without using a rug. srawas89
cut off the burned part like plex said and if that doesnt work do what chinamon said and cut a section of carpet out from like under ur dresser or some piece of furniture that you will probably never ever move and replace the burned part with that new section....or if you have a common carpet go to a carpet store or something pretend that you are interested find a sample of your carpet and replace. gunsboy
If the burn is not too deep then you can a scissor and shave the top of the burnt area , it will still be visible but it will look better.

NearFatal
There is a very nice video on youtube if you search for on how to repair carpet burn marks. I would send you a direct link, but the video advertises for a different forum. Good luck.
mavsfan31
I would love to cover it up or just leave it, but my parents would be pissed if they saw it, let alone know that I have a hookah. It's fine though, I'm almost out of here so I won't have to deal with that much longer.I'm going to have to cut out the carpet and replace it. Actually I've already cut it out (just need to go back over it) then I'll grab some spare carpet and patch it up.
