Stuie
So a little while ago I finished trying every flavor Romman has to offer and since there aren't that many fans of Romman on here, this is for those that would like to try it. Keep in mind this in only my opinion. I will break the flavors down into 3 Categories. Check my reviews on each flavor individually in the review section.Must Try!Almond - Smells like marzipan, tastes like almonds (occassionally order)Apple - Like AF Eskandarni Apple, anise just occasionally (possibly joining my stash)Apple Cinnamon - Great but let it acclimate a few minutes before each sessionBlackberry - not a blackberry person but I will admit it's good my wife has me order it every now and thenBlueberry - Great Blueberry, natural tastingCherry - Not the best Cherry out there but It's up thereCinnamon - Amazing, depating wether to keep 2 cinnamons in my stash (possibly joining my stash)Cola - Tastes like European Coca ColaGood Times - Citrus Mint (In my stash)Ivory Coast - Pineapple Grapefruit blend, best sour out there (In my stash)Honeydew Melon - Not a melon fan but it's good Licorice - Like the twizzlers not anise. (possibly joining my stash)Lemon - Right on the level with Tangiers Lemon in taste (possibly joining my stash)Mint - Very natural, in my top 3 favorite mints (In my stash)Orange - Very Citrusy but just great!Peach - I usually have to be in the mood for peach but not this one!Pineapple - Best out there!Rose - I flop back and forth on this one, it's a sweet rose, very good.Summer Crisp - Cucumber tastes like a cool breeze in your mouth (In my stash)Sweet Melon - Like Nakhla Sweet Melon, but not my cup of teaSweet Start - Sugar tasting, Great Mixer. (In my stash)Watermelon - Most natural watermelon out there period (Joining my stash this week)Vanilla - Natural vanilla not candy, like NakhlaOkay FlavorsBanana Split - It's better now that banana isn't the dominant flavor.Berry Breeze - Great, but it never hits as strong as it smellsCappuccino - Like AF Cappuccino reallyChocolate - Not great, but not terrible eitherChoco-Mint - Doesn't even come close to Nakhla Choco-Mint, but great for those that like milder mintChocolate Strawberry - If you like other Choco-Straws you will like this about the same as any other one out thereDouble Apple - Only DA i have had, and it's strong Anise. I am not a huge fan of it.Cocktail - It's not just fruit, hint of sweet start and bubble gum, very uniqueGuava - of the few Guava's I could stomach this one is the best so farMango - One of the better ones out there but I am not a mango fan.Melon Berry - Initailly like it but it's one of the few flavors you can really ruin with bad heat managementMinty Lemon - Good but need more lemonNectarine - Just doesn't strike me as great.Prunes - Plum/Prune taste, I get tired of it easy, but i do order 50g packs occasionallyRaspberry - Good, but nothing really that set's it apart from others.Spearmint Gum - It's Spearmint/Mint Blend with a bubble gum undertone. Not for everyone's palate Strawberry - Just like those little Strawberry Candies your grandparents always haveTurkish Coffee - A notch below Nakhla Coffee so you better be a coffee lover!AVOID!Banana - I cringe at the memory of how bad this stuff isCoconut - Not good, Grab NakhlaGrape - This stuff is disgusting!Laffy Taffy - Stuff made me sick...it's Banana/SpearmintPina Colada - Just not good. Coconut is working against this oneThis is as general as I can make it to give you my Romman Tobacco Suggestions to try. Don't worry I still love you guys even if you hate Romman! Hookie The Hookah
Have you had turkish coffee? Does it actually taste like it, or is it a generic coffee flavor? Also, what does it mean to have a stash? joytron
very nice, really want to try ivory coast.you need to do a thread with every brand.
chinamon
QUOTE (joytron @ Jun 18 2009, 01:41 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>you need to do a thread with every brand.that is what the review section is for.the problem with doing a dedicated thread for every brand is everyone has different tastes and the thread will turn in to bickering arguments. the review thread keeps things neat and lets the consumer make their own decision with what flavour(s) he or she will try next. fineout
good times is one of my favorite flavors, however the berry one, not sure if its berry breeze or not tasted like straight up soap to me and stained my hookah and bowl for a week after that, and i put the extra in about 90g of mixed stuff i made into my own schnozzberry and it ruined the whole thing..i say stay away from the mixed berry flavor..again not sure if it was berry breeze or mixed berry if there is such a thing

ImThaBean
Romman is my and my friends go-to brand. Granted we are amateurs and locally we can only get SB, Layalina, Fantasia, and Al Fakher. I still need to give Tangiers a go with a phunnel.*currently smoking Romman cocktail through my Bday present, the Bambino. It's all Hawaiian punch. Baric
Nice post! One question: how does everybody smoke Romman? I've tried sprinkling it in the the rim, then foiling (a la al Fakher) but only ever got weak smoke and really weird flavour. Would the nakhla/tangiers pack work better? Thanks. Thanks. In an Egyptian that's pretty good but make sure you pile it over the rim. In a phunnel I do it somewhere between AF and Nakhla. Guess I need to make a video. twoapplesplease
Nice post stuie-well doneI like good times, cola double apple, cherry, mint, licorice.I like to keep some romman around for when my extra light weight buddies come around. For me a combo-bowl seems to work best for romman.I wish romman would make a stronger blend to add a little buzz.Good times is a must have

Sylren
I love Romman, but I live in Canada so it's kind of a pain to get. Great post!
Bulldog_916
Is this the new style Romman? The stuff in the tins? Or is this the older style in the box? I remember back in the day when Romman was avoided due to the dryness of it. It was like Nakhla dryness only worse. I'm going to assume its the new style. Tyler
Good times is a flavor I always have on hand, I think it's the only mint flavor I can smoke at any time without having to be in a "mint mood" because the balance of mint to fruit is perfect. I didn't like Ivory Coast at all though, maybe I just had a bad batch of it.
chinodos
Ivory coast is a bit sour, but it is one of my favorite flavors...Great list though stuie.
