HookahDuck
Most watermelon ma'assels have at least a slight chemical bite to them.
aronparsons
My AA watermelon has a chemical odor. Most Fumari reviews mention a chemical odor as well. Doesn't seem to affect the flavor.

It got harsh easily even though i was super careful with the coals, it didnt taste good. very dissapointing, im considering emailing fumari and telling them i was displeased. HookahCaterpillar
Dude, fumari watermelon is one of my favorite flavors of all time!! I think it got harsh because you aired it out which dried out your shisha.

Seandoo
Try mixing it up, too..the juice might not have been mixed well. I've noticed harshness with fumari as well - mainly because it's sliced so thin! Try packing the bowl carefully as to not have the foil/screen touch the shisha - the thin flakes stick easily and burn like no other, especially if there's not much juice on them. I haven't had good experience with letting Fumari air out at all. I just load it up straight from the container. -Sean

It just smells like a bucket of cleaning chemicals.
c4r80n
i think if your sensitive to the chemical taste you just won't like what other people like. I am the same way, anything chemically i don't like:AA carmel apple, tastes like cough syrupAA raspberry, same wayel basha grape, pukeHH sour apple, floor cleanerfumari's white peach, soapfumari cherry, carmel, grape, french vanilla, just not goodi think i'll be getting a sample of fumari watermellon pretty soon, I'll give a second opinion. Sonthert
Ouch. That's some "harsh" reviews! Watermelon is a very difficult flavor to master, trust me. I went through watermelon flavors for several months, two or three a week trying new things, modifying old ones, crossing them off the list. Some people say my watermelon tastes "corny". I don't notice it myself...
wyteboy
Fumari Watermelon might be the #1 flavor ever, maybe you got a bad batch!!And for those who say Fumari White Peach tastes chemically, try it again! Also one of my top flavors all-time! Tastes like a peach, JUST before its ripe, great sweet yet tart!
Sonthert
Whoa, whoa! Sense of taste varies from person to person, I think. Some people might have more of a sensitivity for a certain chemical while others have less of one....if you know what I mean.
jmexx
It really depends from person to person, I'll have to agree with Eric. c4r80n, that's VERY surprising. I've smoked a whole box of Caramel Apple from AA and loved it! I guess it really depends on how clean your hookah is and how you se t it up. Same thing with Fumari, I don't know how the Watermelon flavour can taste bad and burn? I've never burnt a bowl of Fumari when I go to the lounge (I make my own heads there.) It just seems a little weird to have such bad reviews on great tobaccos. Jon
HookahDuck
I have to agree! AA carmel apple is one of my favorites of all time. I dont experience any chemical taste either...AA Rasberry has a slight one, but its still enjoyable.
Seandoo
I agree 100% with you on the White Peach tasting like soap =) then again I'm the one who sent the sample so if it were a bad batch well then...yeah. I'd be suprised if anybody liked what I have of the white peach. I just hope it's not what it's supposed to be. Honestly it just tasted like gross to me. About that whole thing I said about burning, I smoked a mix of fumari jell-o and fumari fruit punch last night and neither had the super thin cut like white peach. My statement only applies to super thin cut I guess haha.. -Sean

Sonthert
If you add ice to the water in the vase, it makes the water less able to solvate chemicals, so the flavors will come through stronger, not to mention any nicotine/caffeine. Translation: If you put ice in the vase, more of the flavor/nicotine will come out, potentially making it harsh or too strong.

Terence
just make sure the hookah has not been left out (like in the case of me I left a box of Apple out and the sun got to it and it killed it....), that sometime is what i've found can make it go bad also if you get a new box put it in the refrigerator I think it makes the random smells and tastes of cough syrup, puke, floor cleaner and soap go away. ataneja
i think terence meant the shisha. but yeah, definitely, if its dried up at all, then it probably won't be as good. you can look up on the forum ways to rejuvanate shisha, but yes, i usually don't like the fruity ones, but watermelon was good.
