Arcane Posted June 19, 2009 Share Posted June 19, 2009 Stupid Starbuzz!! Hahahaha....you guys honestly thought I'd be getting rid of my hookah stuff?! You crazies... Anyways, here's my story...I pulled out some Starbuzz late last night just to wind down and head to bed...a little Arabic Coffee and Wild Mint mixed. Packed my bowl, lots of little holes...my typical SB in a phunnel set up. The smoke was good, however...the flavor was extremely lacking. About 15 minutes into it, the flavor picked up A LOT...but unfortunately, i'd say it was on par of about HALF of Tangiers flavor strength....sooo, yeah...I'm giving up on Starbuzz completely...not saying its bad, because a great guy (fcb) loves it...but, it's definitely not for me.the good news for you guys is: i have ~245g of SB Wild Mint, ~about 220g of Arabic Coffee, and an unopened tin of Blue Mist that now belongs in the "Send to HF Chat Regular" pile...slowly, this piles is coming up to about 2 kilos...lol! But, the flavor strength of SB can't compare to Tangiers or Nakhla...so, why pay 25-35% more than Tangiers? Or even pay 100%+ more than Nakhla?i don't think adding flavorings is a good reason to keep trying Starbuzz....i have to pay more money for stuff to add to an already expensive tobacco? no thanks! the only thing I think Starbuzz has got going for it is it's washed. Those that can't smoke Tang or Nak because of the buzz, might choose Starbuzz....but, again...AF is cheaper and has about the same strength in flavor....hmmmmmmm!!! srawas89 Posted June 19, 2009 Share Posted June 19, 2009 Arcane has a good point...I like SB but it is def. over priced...however its hard to find any other brand that has the interesting flavors that SB comes up with...this is the reason why I smoke Skyzzz (an SB knockoff which isnt bad at all) on occasion because if you can find it will most likely be cheaper. Hell when I went to Dearborn, MI it was only $10 for 250g and if Sb was at that price I would buy buy it...Unfortunately I did not buy it due to lack of funds.
