HookahDuck
I read several reviews that said Apple had very little anise. The only one who said that it was anise heavy was your review.I'd love to try them. Care for a bowl or two of my three for the same of yours? I'll send you a PM. HookahDuck
Hahaha... With all this new tobacco becoming popular, my Al Amir stash has been sitting dormat on a shelf for a while now. Between Tangiers and Starbuzz- it looks like its going to be difficult to make my way back to it.I've smoked nothing but Tangiers and Nakhla lately. I had a bowl of Al Amir Honeydew Melon last night- and despite my puffy clouds of sweet smoke, I was dissapointed. I find myself not enjoying the "light" tobaccos near as much any more. I suppose its just my palette maturing. I encountered a similar situation with cigars.I've read contradicting reviews about Starbuzz. Is it a .05% or a .5% nicotine brand? What is the buzz like? I've heard from non-existant to down right Nakhla style. Of course, it will vary from person to person, but I'd like a little more info.
HookahEnthusiast
Well as far as the buzz goes....I wouldnt consider myself a heavy smoker at all...mayb once or twice every two to three weeks right now....and when i smoked starbuzz for the first time it just gave me a nice mellow buzz, nothing that will knock you out like nahkla but for me it was there. I just looked at my can of starbuzz blackberry and it sais: 0.5% nicotine. I guess its all just based on you and your tolerance level to nicotine. Seandoo
Yess, Starbuzz is .5%. Now, I don't know if it's because some of it is 'fridgerated and some is not, but the ones that aren't cold tend to give me stomping headaches if I do too much. I usually smoke a bowl a day and have been for about a month. .05 won't do the same to me...and only some Starbuzz flavors do it. It could be because it's not 'fridg'd or something. On the same note, some get me extremely buzzed while others don't - again, similar correlation with the room temperature messing me up a lot more. You will like Apple if you're a fan of 2x. There really isn't much anise in it but it definately has a bite to it. There's nothing quite like it. Al Amir - I recently got into them, and so far I'm impressed! It definately is a different smoke than Tangiers or Starbuzz..but I enjoy a good classic brand after smoking so much American stuff all the time. It's good to mix it up (type/brand) to keep you from tiring of one style or another of shisha. Again, strawberry kiwi doesn't taste much like either to me, it just tastes good. Like sugar. If you pay attention you might be able to pick out the kiwi's slight tinge of sour and attribute the sweet to the strawberry. Good luck. It's just yum. Tell us how the cappucino is! djnick
i didnt find starbuzz all that great. It had a lot of flavor, but almost too much where u get sick of it after a while. Also they seem to use a lot of hte syrup mixture, which was probably why it was so flavory. The buzz was so so. and the flavors i tried were exotic mango and cherry. maybe there other flavors are better, but the hookah bars here swear by it and the price definatly shows i too hehe
c4r80n
let us now how the apple is!floral? anise? or plain ol' apple (what I am hoping for)
HookahDuck
C4r80n, I've heard it is mostly a sweet/floral apple with hints of anise. If thats the case, it sounds delicious.I'll have a very objective review up- as I've tried many brand's apple.
Seandoo
Starbuzz Apple definately isn't your Al Fakher Apple. It essentially is a double apple, if you ask me. It doesn't taste identical to black licorice otherwise you all would be seeing samples come out of this house like nobody's business, but it does have a tinge of aniseed. Floral? Never occured to me, but is possible. Doesn't taste like jasmine would taste floral, much different. It's just good =)
