Well your only a few minutes from downtown austin so there are tons of hotels from Omni's, to Marriots, to Hilton's, to Holiday Inn Express'. You've really got all the choices in the world, I would just check out the discount places online and see if you can find something in your budget.

Yeah my budget is quite low. I can get the group discount at the omni cause thats where they have it reserved, but even with the discount its 100 bucks a night. I would really not like to pay that much. I have looked around and found places online. But i dont know anything about austin so im askin people to let me know which ones specifically would be close to that area.
Thanks for the help.

Well are you going to have a car while you are there? Or are you going to be depending on other people for rides. If you've got the car your only 10 min away from downtown to the Mercury Hall. Plus if your single and stay downtown, school will be in session so all the college ladies will be everywhere and especially on 6th street.

Good lookin out my friend. good lookin out. I am not single, but the lady doesnt mind if i look. But its no reason to stay in any particular place. As for transportation, i was probably going to take a shuttle to and from the airport and get a day pass for capital metro.

you can get really nice hotel rooms for cheap from www.priceline.com when you name your own price. i got a $200 room for 3 nights for just under the price for one night and that was downtown. just look around there are tons of nice places, plus the closer to sixth street the better off you are, although i think sixth street is a bit overrated.
