Matchew
So I cleaned my hookah and everything yesterday after a small session. The next day I lifted up my hose and brown stuff came out. Kinda nasty. Just wondering, what is this brown stuff?? Did I not clean it enough or something?? Tipps??

Sherwood
Yep. Most hoses aren't washable. They have leather and metal on the inside, that rusts when you wash it. Unless you bought a specifically washable hose, odds are good that its rusted. No way to fix it -- you'll need a new one.
Matchew
aw man I just bought it couple days ago.
Click
Yup. Agree with the rust. Never run water through any hose unless you are positive it is washable. Their are only a few retail washable brands out there.

ahhhdam
For a washable like a nammor is around $20 give or take a few bucks.
Sherwood
http://www.hookah-shisha.com/store/pc/conf...;idproduct=1574That's a quality washable hose. It might fall apart on you at some point, but it can be repaired easily. Believe me, a good hose is a critical part of any hookah setup.
mjdx88
Dont forget the home depot hose is like 5 bucks and washable. Wait for the link!
ilikemyusername
or, now that it has started rusting out you can just run water through it before each session. thats what i used to do, they'll last forever now.

All kinda nasty things you can get from rust, especially inhaled through the lungs. I second... or was it third? The nammor hose. I have one and while it came apart once, it was easily fixed, and is fully washable. I gotta say its also got the best pull of any hose I personally have used. SimplexCoda
I wouldnt get a nammor hose. I liked mine while it lasted, But ihad to fix it about 6 times. So what i did, was take some MYA wide hose ends. YOu can just use the ends off the hose you currently have. Then i went down to my local vet supply store. Feed stores may have it too. Then i got some hose. This type of hose is very much like surgical tubing, rubber, not vynal. Its used for all types of things from making bindings to medicine delivery to water systems. Its way super flexible, doesnt taste and comes in all kinds of colors. So anyway go down to the vet supply store or feed store and take your hose ends with you and find some that fits just right. I ended up gettin mine for free, but you can get that stuff for about 80 cents a foot, so a 10 foot hose which is way long is like 8 bucks. Its way more flexible and easy to take care of than vynal hoses. Its non porus so you dont have to wash it much, but it is washable for when you do.
