Strategically Lighting Natural Coals

Recommended Posts

I am at my parents house for a few weeks and realized I have free time and I wanted to smoke my hookah in a park I like and I remembered I don't have qls anymore. Any good ideas on how to light up some naturals outside? I was thinking maybe a torch but I don't know. I use cocos

If you have a portable propane stove use it...only problem is setting the coals on the burner...try using the metal grate from a power supply...I think mattarios suggested it once. I have done it to light my coconaras when i first tried them and they worked great.

Was wondering you could use one of those cigar torch lighters?

You could, but with cocos, that would take ridiculously long and make that lighter hotter than hell

I see thanks for the input. I think my wife has a tourch she uses for work laying around somewhere.

or you can eat 2 Burritos from Taco Bell and a Burger from McDonalds and give this a whirl:

In all seriousness, I think a portable camping stove would probably be safer in the long run.

The walgreens one works like a charm. Heats up incredibly fast, though the coils are spaced a little wide so that 1/2 cocos can slip between the coil if laid on their side.

But pyrokinesis is usually what I use too.

I use the walgreens one as well. The walgreens I got mine at had a little different looking one, more like the amazon one, but it works great and was only $9.99. Edited by Jeff_T

I cut it off some bbq basket thing my mom had.

I figured as much...I dont have one of those but I do have a fan grill from a power supply and one of those old fashion coal holders/starters that people in the middle east use to light their coals...works wonders with the natural finger like coals.
