It's not like we lie in wait to pounce new members. He just happened to hit the one subject that really does not fit here and most of us understand fully.I don't have guests take off their shoes when they enter my house but I have friends (mainly their wives) that do. I would not just barge in and tell them that was a goofy ass rule. If someone tried to light a cigarette in my house I'd be really pissed, that's okay with some folks.
