EvansLight
I have decided to move on up in the world and stop using 3k's and switch to natural coals. I got some Exoticas to try from a friend, and have a box of Coconara coming in with my order. So i needed a way to light them of course, and so i went away to walmart to shop. I gotta say i didn't get exactly what i wanted, but i am happy with what i found:http://www.coleman.com/coleman/colemancom/...uct_id=5431B705This thing got the Exoticas ready in 4min flat. Turned up to high this thing can put out some heat, it sounds like a small jet engine on high. If you use natural coals, i seriously suggest this thing. But be forewarned, this thing uses propane which you SHOULD NEVER USE INDOORS. This is for anyone who wants to light there coals outside, like i have to. RingsMaster
i got a 1000W electric stove for my coconaro's and it works wonders, open coil of course lol
Bulldog_916
Good luck paying for propane several times a year. That's the only setback I see with that. Prices are going to go up as natural gas prices go up again. We're looking at natural gas as a method to power our cars. I love my electric coil burner. No gas to buy. antouwan
QUOTE (Stuie @ Jun 23 2009, 10:10 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Let us know how many coal lightings you can get from a bottle.i used to have one, before i got the much superior electric coil burner. the problem with estimating the amount of coal lights out of that thing/ bottle is that it depends 1. how many coals you put on per burning time (for instance, if i were to light one at a time and a buddy using the same setup put on 4 or 5 coals at a time then we'll use the same amount of gas but he'll light 5 times the amount of coals that i do) 2. the setting you put the gas on (hi for a quicker cook time or lo for a slower, more efficient cook time).it is great for picnics or lighting your coals where no outlet is available. you probably need to get a coal pan with holes in the bottom though to go along with it. sometimes i light my coals on the gas stove in the house and i need to move them around to get the bastards glowing red. something like this: http://www.hookah-shisha.com/store/pc/view...;idproduct=1315
hookah hippie
I used to have one of these there are a few problems.Propane is dangerous and can explode if you travel with it.You also can't use it inside like an electric stove but to each his own like I sayhappy hookahing
TizaNabi
I bought a 5 kilo which I cook on and use for coals(see photo which is 3 kilo below) natural gas
srawas89
I use that burner on occasion. My Grandpa uses it more when he is here as he uses some natural finger coals to smoke with his Tambak. It works wonders but I just mooch off my parents stash of 3kings so its all good. However it is much easier if you use a coal holder like this one:Click Here Edited June 25, 2009 by srawas89
RogueSmoker
I went to wall-mart to try and find one and were all out. Got some rubbermaid containers so I didn't leave empty handed. Any idea how long the bottles last on them? Say using 2 coals per session daily.
EvansLight
Got to try it with the coconaras and EL is in love. On high it has them ready in under 4 min. I barely got the hookah up and running before they were ready to go on it.
