Matchew
Soo I got this new longer hose. It looked okay so I bought it. When I got home I tried the hose and it sucked dickk. =\ Its hard to get smoke through it and you get little bit of smoke. Im not sure what prevents it from getting good hits. Does anyone think they know? Should I get another hose?? Maybe you can help me.And maybe if there is something I can do to it to make it work better tell me. =]
Arcane
maybe there's a kink in the hose? maybe there's an obstruction...to check, just blow through the hose without it being connected...if there's resistance, then something is probably blocking the airflow.if its free flowing, then there's something up with your hookah...btw, what hose? if it's a syrian cobra...its the hose...that thing is crap. ilikemyusername
theres something probably clogging the wooden handle, take a drill and carve it out better. when you're done DO NOT run water through the stem, instead just blow from both ends until the sawdust is all gone. Sonthert
There's two possibilities, one there's a leak, the other is that there's a clog. if you blow through it and its difficult to blow through, its an obstruction. If you plug one end with your thumb and blow through it and you can feel pressure leaking, its a leak. Some obstructions are design problems, some are improperly drilled holes in the head or stem piece, some are chunks of wood or sawdust from the mill, and some are unclassified foreign matter, like rocks, glass, or bugs. If its a leak, it can be fixed by taping over the leak. If its an obstruction, of type 2 or 3, it might be dislodged by whacking the hose against a table repeatedly or by blowing vigorously through it. Inside the handle the hole is really really small. Thankss Edited June 24, 2009 by Matchew

Vampy6997
Random as it might seem....I switched hoses same day as an obstruction managed to appear in my stem. Do a 100% check if it's tough to smoke. Sometimes things just happen to happen at the same time...conspiracies! (for the longest time I thought it was the new hose .....then realized it was the stem and was like...oh...duh.)Also, I've noticed resistance if the shisha is super wet...ie-AF....
